Review - Unraveled by K.M. Neuhold
My rating:
Auto mechanic Max has his hands full taking care of his daughter, who he shares custody of with her mother. He is definitely thinking about finding the “right girl” and settling down, but nobody he meets seems to spark any deep feelings. Max’s roommate and best friend Clay’s situation isn’t much different. He’s busy running his business and helping Max take care of his daughter. Only, in Clay’s case, he just hasn’t found the right guy, which is doubly hard for him given his need to be tied up to really enjoy sex.

Review - Cherished by Two by Morticia Knight
My rating:
Human Chris continues to adapt to his life as soul mate to his two Alasharian masters, as well as tying to puzzle out how it is that he is in some way key to the survival of both races. However, as the nature of the threat becomes clearer, so does that fact that Chris and his masters, as well as his family, are in great danger. This second book in the Soul Match series picks right up where the first one, Slave for Two, leaves off.

Review - Slave for Two by Morticia Knight
My rating:
Admittedly, in rough outline it sounds like the plot of a porn flick: A race of super-hunky aliens with a strong penchant for BDSM invade earth, quickly subdue the population, and round up all the twinks to serve as sex slaves for their kinky enjoyment. What saves it from being eye-rolling smut is strong character development. A good portion of this book, the first in a series that already stretches to four volumes, is spent getting to know the main human character Chris before he is captured by the Alasharians.

Review - Going Deep by Silvia Violet
My rating:
This last book of the “Fitting In” series returns to the original threesome of Jack, Gray and Mason. This time we get the story from Gray’s point of view. Now a detective, he is faced with the puzzling murder of a teenage girl, who may have been forced into prostitution by a notorious crime boss, yet there are precious few clues as to who is responsible. When another girl turns up dead, the pressure mounts to find some clues.
Review - The Master Will Appear by L.A. Witt
My rating:
Experienced fencer Mikhail takes an instant dislike to brash newcomer Ryan. The aggressive young man has talent, but no discipline. And if there’s one thing Mikhail knows, it’s discipline, whether it be on the piste or in the bedroom. Mikhail decides to teach the cocky fencer a lesson and challenges him to a match. He isn’t surprised when he wins easily, but he is surprised when a contrite Ryan asks Mikhail to give him lessons.

My rating:
Experienced Dominant Nash finds himself curiously fascinated with Joshua, a new submissive at the Underground Club. Unfortunately, Joshua belongs to Troy, a truly sadistic Dom that Nash has always disliked. When his curiosity gets the better of him and Nash asks around, he finds that the young sub has a reputation for taking extreme pain and not safewording. It’s almost enough to scare Nash off. But still, there’s something about Joshua that makes him think he might be the kind of Dom the sub needs.
Review - Burning Up by Silvia Violet
My rating:
The third installment of the “Fitting In” series turns the focus on a minor character introduced in the previous book. Bryce is a fireman recently moved to town for a new start. Things are going well, although he finds two men on his shift, Toby and Matt, very attractive. But, they already seem to be a couple, and they’re much younger than Bryce; oh, and he’s their supervisor, so a relationship seems out of the question.
Review - Submission Times Two by Claire Thompson
My rating:
Ethan and Cam are very much in love and have been in a committed relationship for a year. There’s just one problem: They both have strong submissive desires — that’s how they met, in a BDSM club in New York — and neither one of them has enough of a dominant streak to give the other the kind of emotional high they get from submitting. They’ve made do participating in sexless scenes with wannabe Doms at different clubs, but for Ethan, at least, it isn’t quite satisfying his submissive urges.
Review - Broken Halo by Michaela Grey
My rating:
Micah is a rather neurotic germaphobe, and a submissive, whose last relationship was with a jerk of a Dom who seemed to enjoy humiliating him. Quite by accident he meets Devon, a mechanic who is far nicer to Micah that he thinks he deserves. Devon persists, and as their relationship grows, so do Micah’s insecurities. “Broken Halo” is a rather sweet kinky tale with a few surprises. There are lots of hints as you read the story about where the plot is going, which appears to be down a rather predictable path.
Review - Override by SJD Peterson
My rating:
Tall and muscular Donavan isn’t your typical submissive, and for that matter the older and shorter Seth doesn’t exactly fit the stereotype of a Dom, but the two men sense a connection almost from the beginning, and despite different backgrounds and conflicting work schedules they try to figure out where that connection will take them. “Override” obviously isn’t your typical Dominant/submissive story. It’s hard to describe how different it is without spoiling some of the surprises, so read on at your own risk.
