Review - Deserted by Cara Dee

Spoiler alert: If you haven't read the first two books of this series, this review of the third may disclose some of what has already happened. Gray made a promise to Jonah, one of the other young me who had fallen prey to the human sex trafficking ring. As Jonah lay dying from a gunshot on the island where the men were hiding, Gray vowed to find Jonah's little brother Jayden and ensure he was safe.

Review - Settling His Dette by Lilo Quie

Gabriel seems unable to produce viable eggs, and to the drakes that effectively purchased him, that's all a dette is good for, producing pups. Sacha is the only one of the drakes that seems to care about Gabriel, but even he can't fight it if the current clutch he carries turns out to be blanks. When a doctor tells him that the two eggs are indeed blanks, Gabriel runs away, lays the eggs, disposes of them in a dumpster, and escapes into the wilderness to live among the wild dragons.
Review - A Cook's Tale by J. Alan Veerkamp

Erron is really down on his luck. His boyfriend broke up with him to marry a woman, got him fired from the restaurant where they both worked, and had him evicted from his apartment. He's running out of money and really needs a new job. Fortunately, the Santa Claus is advertising for a new cook, and not only does it sound like a good ship, his old father figure, Gamin, is the chef he'd be working for.

Review - Initiation by Young

Young (technically 'Yoong' but called 'Young' by most westerners) is born into a well-to-do Chinese family in post-war Kuala Lumpur, Malaya (Malaysia). His sexual orientation becomes evident at an early age, as he takes a keen interest in art and fashion, and later, boys. His conservative father is not pleased and makes many attempts to “butch up” his son. Young resists all attempts to change him and ignores the constant bullying from fellow schoolboys.

Review - Raphael's Rescue by C.J. Dragon
My rating:
Raphael is a child of the Mars colony, the main outpost for humanity since Earth is no longer habitable. He is also a powerful empath, so while he loves his extended family, he sometimes needs time alone to keep their thoughts from overwhelming him. That's easily accomplished by taking his small scout ship Agatha out to look for minerals in the asteroid belt. It's on one of these trips that he encounters a Chi'NoSa ship that accidentally damages Agatha.

The Boa Visk are a race of reptilian warriors who have conquered and enslaved much of the human population of the continent. General Tav is one of the men leading the fight to free the human race. His current target is a walled city where the Boa Visk installed seneschal has refused to surrender. Seneschal Duric doesn't want to fight, but he knows that if he attempts to surrender the city, his Boa Visk minders will simply kill him and install someone else.

Charley is on the run from the biker gang he works for because they think he killed one of their members. The young man may be a bit odd, but he's no killer. When Charley runs across a country lane trying to escape his pursuers, he's nearly run over by Luc's SUV. The slightly older Luc is instantly attracted to Charley and sympathetic to his problem, so he offers to help out.
Review - Rough Around the Edges by L.M. Somerton
My rating:
Kai was orphaned at a young age and raised by his uncle, who sent now 20 years old young man to a conversion clinic when he discovered Kai was gay. Carey's submissive Alistair insisted that Kai come with him when they were rescued from the clinic. When they arrive at Carey's club, the bar manager Harry immediately takes Kai under his wing. There's an instant attraction between the two, but Kai has no experience as a submissive.
Review - The Alien Bodyguard by Eryn Ivers
My rating:
Oliver Turner is on his way to the planet Teva to negotiate some business deals that he hopes will bring peace and stability to the war-ravaged southern hemisphere. Perhaps more importantly, a successful trip will help to get him back into his father's good graces as well as bring more money into the ultra-rich Turner family's coffers. Mal'ik is a former soldier assigned to guard and manage security for Oliver while he is on Teva.

Time to catch up on the latest adventures of Lem, her dog Spock, and the rest of the crew of the starship Teapot. This time it's Lem's best friend, Bexley, who needs help, well, more help than usual. One of Bexley's parents is pregnant, but they've discovered that the unborn child exhibits a common birth ‘defect’ among Bexley's species: It will have wings. The law of Bexley's home world requires the wings to be removed at birth, but her parents are dead set against what they see as an unnecessary ‘mutilation.
