Review - Hybrid Incubator by Meraki P. Dark

My rating:

Alex has been an avid ecologist since he was a young boy picking up trash in the woods that people carelessly discarded. Unfortunately, even with a doctorate in environmental science, his passion doesn't pay the bills. After another fruitless day of interviewing for jobs he is over-qualified for, Alex feels the need for a drink. Slightly drunk, he agrees to a road trip with another patron who is also a bit down on his luck.

Review - Raphael's Rescue by C.J. Dragon

My rating:

Raphael is a child of the Mars colony, the main outpost for humanity since Earth is no longer habitable. He is also a powerful empath, so while he loves his extended family, he sometimes needs time alone to keep their thoughts from overwhelming him. That's easily accomplished by taking his small scout ship Agatha out to look for minerals in the asteroid belt. It's on one of these trips that he encounters a Chi'NoSa ship that accidentally damages Agatha.

Review - Submitted by Sam Burns and W.M. Fawkes

My rating:

Homeless and living on the street since his father threw him out for being gay, of all the humans taken by the Thorzen, Beau has the fewest reasons to ever want to return to earth. He may be kept in a cell in a lab, but he's fed and doesn't seem to be in any danger, even if the lab's leader Crux does sneer at him. And there's definitely a small bright spot: Crux's son Vorian, who just about everyone avoids, seems to have take an interest in Beau that is more than a little friendly.

Review - There Will Be Aliens by Holly Day

My rating:

Carlo and his best friend Grace are having drinks, commiserating over the loss of Carlo's cheating boyfriend. They've had a bit too much to drink, and on their way home they're kidnapped by aliens along with several other earth women. Captain Zenon and his crew have been ordered to bring back some earth women to try and solve their race's reproductive issues. The male, Carlo, isn't necessary but there's something about the man that “Zen” can't resist, even though it makes him uncomfortable.

Review - Declared by Sam Burns and W.M. Fawkes

My rating:

Wesley is a talented software developer, working on video games. But his work is mostly on short term contracts that never turn into full time jobs, so he lives from contract to contract with hardly anything saved up and no idea how he's going to pay the mortgage on the house he inherited from his parents. In a way, getting kidnapped by big blue aliens may be the best thing to happen to the young man who has always dreamed of exploring the stars.

Review - The Aliens' Mate by Delaney Rain

My rating:

Lucian, “Luc”, is kidnapped by aliens along with three earth women. They are held captive on a space ship along with two other aliens, who seem to be attracted to Luc, even though he can't understand anything they say. When an opportunity to escape presents itself, the aliens prove quite useful in freeing Luc and the other humans, and getting them off the ship. They all survive a crash landing on a nearby planet, and Luc gets attracted to them more and more.

Review - Kríe Captivity by Kora Knight

My rating:

Alec is leading a scientific team to explore a newly discovered planet, but things go wrong before they can even land when their ship is attached by flying creatures who force them to crash. The team's luck seems to change when they encounter one of the humanoid natives, Gesh, who seems friendly enough. That is, until Gesh feeds them some delicious fruit that has some strong aphrodisiac effects. Before they know it, the team finds themselves hostages of Gesh and his friends, who assure the earth men that the fruit's effects won't end until the men have sex Gesh or his friends.

Review - Left Hand of Dog by SI Clarke

My rating:

In an effort to reinvent herself, Lem moves to Canada with her dog Spock. The “new” Lem has adventures, only “kidnapped by aliens” wasn't exactly what she had in mind, let alone kidnapped by bounty-hunting bunnies. That's just the start of a mind-bending journey through space with Spock and Lem's new found friends. “Left Hand of Dog” is not so much space opera as space farce. While it's a bit silly, the story isn't so over the top as to not be somewhat believable.

Review - Captured by Sam Burns and W.M. Fawkes

My rating:

Lucas is stuck in a minimum wage job as a barista, because what use is a history degree. His boyfriend left him and is about to be married. And, he took their cat. Could his life get any worse? Somehow, “kidnapped by aliens” never even figured as a possible answer to that question. Only, these aliens are big, blue and very buff. And, one of them seems to have taken a liking to Lucas.
