Young is about to embark on his fourth tour of duty, serving as a harem boy in the households of rich and powerful Arab men. His guardian-lover Andy is still by his side to protect the teenager. This time their master is Sheik Fahrib, the childhood friend and now lover of the boys' previous host Prince ‘P.’ The Sheik's life is complicated, to say the least, and navigating the politics of his master's household will provide a new challenge for Young.

Their next master is the “prince” of a gulf state, and the young men already know the man has some extreme tastes. Navigating the intrigues of the royal family as well as the demands of the prince's guests from European nobility is going to prove challenging for the pair.

Young and his guardian-lover Andy are about to start another term of service as harem boys for a wealthy household in Abu Dhabi. Joining them is another guardian (valet), Oscar, with his charge. Young has become enamored of Oscar, and the three young men agree to enter into a threesome relationship. Their new master is not unknown to Young and Andy, as he is related to their first host. Together with other members of the household, the harem boys embark on adventures that take them back to Italy and on to the United States.

Review - Initiation by Young

Young (technically 'Yoong' but called 'Young' by most westerners) is born into a well-to-do Chinese family in post-war Kuala Lumpur, Malaya (Malaysia). His sexual orientation becomes evident at an early age, as he takes a keen interest in art and fashion, and later, boys. His conservative father is not pleased and makes many attempts to “butch up” his son. Young resists all attempts to change him and ignores the constant bullying from fellow schoolboys.

Review - The Best Little Boy in the World by Andrew Tobias

My rating:

As a very young child, the author’s parents praise him as “the best little boy in the world” (BLBITW). Such parental praise may be relatively common, but our hero truly takes it to heart and spends many years trying to live up to the perceived expectations of his parents and others. When he realizes that he prefers boys to girls he sublimates those feelings, since the BLBITW most certainly can’t have such feelings.
