Review - Four Ever by Sloane Kennedy

Zak and Killian have been together for seven years, and are deeply in love with each other, but the last few years have been tough, with each of them feeling guilt over wrongs they think they've inflicted on their partner, but unable to talk it through. The two are still devoted to the ragtag menagerie of rescued animals they've collected over the years. However, when nurse Zak brings home a mute homeless young man from the hospital, who is shortly joined by his injured step-brother, the dynamic of their relationship seems to change.

Another month has passed since Damiskos came to visit his lover Varazda in Saffron Alley. He really doesn't want to go home to Pheme, but knows he will need to at some point, at least to move out of his lodgings and collect his horse.

Review - Brave Boy by K.M. Neuhold
My rating:
Emerson dreams of having a Daddy to take of him. Unfortunately, he's extremely shy, due in large part to a stutter that gets worse when he's nervous, and he always gets really nervous Kiernan. The business partner of Sterling's Daddy is everything that Emerson could want in a Daddy, but he can barely speak in front of the big man. Sterling suggests that Emerson try chatting up potential daddies online to build up his confidence.

Valentino is still in a sort of self imposed isolation after his fight with the demon manticore, in which he revealed his true nature to those closest to him. But he can't cut himself off forever, and the impending visit by vampire royals combined with the mysterious death of a high society young woman means that Valentino must resume his duties as both a detective and consort to the Guardian Aladar.
Review - Slumbering Ember by Meraki P. Lyhne
My rating:
Matt is something of a loner, sticking close to home and his mother. He never really knew his father, who he and his mother were told died when Matt was very little. But now at his mother's insistence, Matt is leaving for a year as a foreign exchange student in Denmark, his father's country. He'll be staying with close friend's of his mother and father. One day, while checking out a political demonstration as part of a school project, Matt is drawn to one of the speakers.
Review - Stop Cock by JL Merrow
My rating:
Tom and Paul are looking forward to a romantic honeymoon in Sorrento but things take a disappointing turn when Paul's old school friend Wayne, who bullied Tom in school, shows up at breakfast the first morning, staying in the same hotel. The situation doesn't exactly improve when Wayne falls to his death from the hotel terrace a few nights later. It's hard for the pair not to look into the man's death, especially when it comes to light that Wayne may have had plans that involved Tom and some local gangsters.

Doctor Theophrastus ‘Theo’ Campbell is a linguist from the Core world of Britannia. He's considered brilliant, by those who haven't met him, with a knowledge of many of the nearly extinct old Earth languages of far-flung humanity. Theo is the twin brother of Ari, from the first book in this series, Restricted, but while the two may be identical in appearance, their personalities are an entire universe apart. Where Ari was very introverted, Theo is extremely extroverted and hyperactive, seemingly incapable of being quiet or still for very long.

West was attracted to bar owner Sawyer the first time they met, but the fifteen year age gap between them made Sawyer turn him down, repeatedly. The two decided to remain “just friends” yet West still has feelings for Sawyer, and sometimes the bartender even reconsiders his refusal to have a relationship. But when West's friends and coworkers at Four Bears Construction intervene to convince him to move on, the young man tries to date other people.

Note: This series is very much designed to be read in order. If you haven't read the first two books, then this review may contain spoilers. Cedric, along with his three lovers and the rest of the crew of the Devil's Whore, is still on the run from the cult that wants to use Cedric to bring a powerful and malevolent being into this world from another dimension. Only, it seems that the being is making itself known even without the cult's help, giving Cedric enormous powers.
Review - Reinventing Cato by Barbara Elsborg

After a few disastrous relationships, Cato decides to avoid romantic entanglements, never spending more than a night with people he meets in bars, often not even knowing their name. But as midnight approaches on New Years Eve at a party he'd rather not be at, Cato resolves to become a better person, to “reinvent” himself. Vigge is not quite out at work, where he's a police detective. He doesn't trust easily and has some rather heavy baggage from his childhood.
