Review - The Rules by Jamie Fessenden
My rating:
College student Hans answers an ad for a part-time housekeeper for a married gay couple. He’s surprised that the seemingly well-to-do Thomas is interested in hiring the inexperienced Hans when they can apparently afford a professional cleaning service. That is, until he meets Thomas’ Russian-born and extremely eccentric husband Boris. The most obvious of Boris’ eccentricities is his disdain for clothing. But the money is good and naked Boris isn’t hard on the eyes.

Review - Going Deep by Silvia Violet
My rating:
This last book of the “Fitting In” series returns to the original threesome of Jack, Gray and Mason. This time we get the story from Gray’s point of view. Now a detective, he is faced with the puzzling murder of a teenage girl, who may have been forced into prostitution by a notorious crime boss, yet there are precious few clues as to who is responsible. When another girl turns up dead, the pressure mounts to find some clues.
Review - Rising Beauty by Meraki P. Lyhne
My rating:
Note: This is the third book in the Cubi series. These stories follow closely on each other, so if you haven’t read the first two books, you won’t have any idea what’s going on. As this third installment of the Cubi series opens, Daniel is still trying to wrap his head around the latest revelation to turn his life upside down. Not only is he becoming an incubus, he is destined to become the king of the North American cubi.
Review - Burning Up by Silvia Violet
My rating:
The third installment of the “Fitting In” series turns the focus on a minor character introduced in the previous book. Bryce is a fireman recently moved to town for a new start. Things are going well, although he finds two men on his shift, Toby and Matt, very attractive. But, they already seem to be a couple, and they’re much younger than Bryce; oh, and he’s their supervisor, so a relationship seems out of the question.
Review - Submission Times Two by Claire Thompson
My rating:
Ethan and Cam are very much in love and have been in a committed relationship for a year. There’s just one problem: They both have strong submissive desires — that’s how they met, in a BDSM club in New York — and neither one of them has enough of a dominant streak to give the other the kind of emotional high they get from submitting. They’ve made do participating in sexless scenes with wannabe Doms at different clubs, but for Ethan, at least, it isn’t quite satisfying his submissive urges.
Review - Sorting Out by Silvia Violet
My rating:
Mason, Gray and Jack are making a three-way relationship work, but things can’t stay the same forever. Gray wants to go after a promotion to detective, which means he wouldn’t be Jack’s partner anymore. It would also mean they could be open about their relationship with each other, as well as Mason, but Jack isn’t sure he’s ready to be out at work. He’s not too sure he even wants to continue being a police officer.
Review - Fitting In by Silvia Violet
My rating:
Mason is tending bar when two police offers come to investigate several robberies in the neighborhood of the pub. Jack and Gray are both stunning in Mason’s eyes, and their appearance is enough to fuel several fantasies. The cops return several times over the next few weeks, but Mason is too afraid to do any more than stare at them when he thinks they’re not looking. Finally Gray and Jack make a move and eventually get Mason back to the house they share, where the sex is even more mind blowing that Mason’s fantasies.
Review - Acquainted with the Night by Tymber Dalton
My rating:
A few centuries in the future, humans are at war with an alien race called the Algonquans. The government passes strict laws about who can marry and who can breed, and of course conscripts poor young men to fight their war. Dale is one such young man. One moment, he’s a lowly technician on the flight deck of a Terran spaceship, and the next thing he knows he is in the hold of an Algonquan ship where has been taken prisoner.

Review - A Bear Walks Into a Bar by Eden Winters
My rating:
Dillon, Kevin, Jerry and Brad are all on their own before they become friends and settle in a small mountain town to open a bar. They’re all shifters; Dillon is a bear, Kevin and his cousin Jerry are wolves, and Brad is a fox; but it isn’t easy for them since they lost or were forced out of their family groups before they learned how to use and control their powers.
Review - Christmas at Leo's
My rating:
The houseboy is back, just in time for Christmas, with another long-time-coming installment of the story of his life with his two “daddies” Dick and Shane. This volume picks up right where the previous book, Gilliflowers, left off, with the story of Christmas 2008. It doesn’t start well, with Gilli visiting his mother. It will probably be her last Christmas, as she is in the final stages of cervical cancer, and it dredges up all sorts of memories in the young man.
