Review - Dark Attraction by Drake LaMarque
My rating:
College surfer boy Brandon (‘Brand’) is looking for something. He just isn't sure what it is. He's tried guys. He's tried girls. But it's just been a series of one-night stands because something was missing. Then one night at a frat party, he spots Gage. The other man looks like a goth, but it's soon clear he's much more than that. Gage takes Brand back to his apartment, and against his better judgment, he lets the young man get under his skin.
Review - Jocks for Sale Parts 4 - 7 by Josh Hunter
My rating:
“Jocks For Sale” is an erotic fantasy containing non-consensual sex and violence. It is offered in serialized form as (currently 12) connected installments. I'm reviewing it in batches, so there's a more coherent picture of the entire story. College lacrosse jock Connor's transformation into sex slave Cody is nearly complete as Part 4 starts. Between the drugs, shocks, and sexual abuse, he's almost given up. But then he sees an opportunity to overpower his trainer Nick and takes it.

Review - Allure of Oartheca by James Siewert
My rating:
Rowland Hale is about to pull off the biggest ‘salvage’ job of his career. With his crew, he's managed to track down a long-lost cargo shuttle carrying some extremely valuable goods, along with some nearly priceless technology. He has managed to break through the security systems keeping the shuttle locked tight, and his crew is beginning the recovery when the worst happens. They are attacked by a ship belonging to one of the most feared species in the galaxy.

Review - Living on the Edge by L.M. Somerton
My rating:
Aiden is an intelligent bratty young university student with skills. He gets caught hacking into corporate computer systems, but instead of sending him to jail, the judge assigns him to work at The Edge, a management retreat for corporate executives, among other things. Heath, one of the owners of The Edge, is in charge of overseeing Aiden's ‘rehabilitation.’ It's obvious from the start that Aiden's attitude will be a big challenge for Heath.

Review - Honey and Pepper by A.J. Demas
My rating:
Nikias is a recently freed slave that's come to the big city to find work. He ends up working in a snack stall that occupies one corner of a grand old house. That's where he first spots Kallion, a man about Nikias's age who seems to work at the mansion. The two meet when Kallion is attacked outside the house, and despite some initial misunderstandings, they become friends. But Kallion harbors a dark secret about his cruel former master that prevents him from fully opening up to Nikias.

Review - Defending the Guard's Pet Hacker by Dani Gray
My rating:
Young hacker Xed is kidnapped along with his family and is forced to break into government systems to steal information. The people holding him are brutal and have demonstrated they will stop at nothing, including murder, to make Xed do what they want. The young man is bright, and while he steals information, it's not the sensitive data the kidnappers really want. All the while, he's looking for ways to get a message through to someone who can rescue him and his family.

Review - Jocks for Sale Parts 1 - 3 by Josh Hunter
My rating:
“Jocks For Sale” is an erotic fantasy containing non-consensual sex and brutality. It is offered in serialized form as ten connected installments. I'm reviewing it in batches, so there's a more coherent picture of the entire story. Part 1 of this 10-part series opens with college jock Conner enjoying spring break in Cancun with three of his fraternity brothers. They're all focused on bedding as many women as possible. Usually, Conner would be too, but he's become fixated on Jake, a freshman from his lacrosse team that Conner has become obsessed with.

Review - Draconian Measures by J.C. Owens
My rating:
Graitaan is the last of his kind. He was sent as part of a group of 50 Draconian warriors to another world to help the human king fight off invaders. His comrades have all died in battle, leaving Graitaan alone among the humans and their Finnarian allies. Graitaan has no great love for the humans, but he dislikes the Finnarirans even more, one of them being his commander, Sadan. Still, he has a soldier's honor, fights for the king, and obeys his commander's orders.

Review - Double Trouble by Barbara Elsborg
My rating:
Raffety is trying to learn to play the violin. He's awful, but his teacher seems to think he has promise and arranges a free stay at a summer camp. His mother is thrilled. Raffety's father died when he was a baby, and his mother has been struggling to give him things. Camp is bewildering. All of the other kids seem strange, and the staff even more peculiar. The only bright spot is Jonah.
Review - Potential Energy by Kim Fielding
My rating:
Haz Taylor is down on his luck, and he's been there for a year now. He managed to get his heavily damaged ship to a backwater planet, but without the use of the vessel, he has no way to make money to pay for repairs. Hope for escape seems to come from the most unlikely quarter: His old commander from the Earth-based Coalition, who offers to cover the cost of fixing Haz's ship and hire back his old crew.
