Review - Garden of Mysteries by Drake LaMarque

My rating:

Alistair is looking forward to starting the new term at school with his three boyfriends. Two new professors have been bought in with a view to potentially helping the young man finally break the curse on one of his lovers, William. Unfortunately, there still seems to be someone at the college determined to get Alistair in trouble, or worse. “Garden of Mysteries” is the second and concluding story of the Misselthwaite College series.

Review - Garden of Secrets by Drake LaMarque

My rating:

On the eve of his twentieth birthday, Alistair feels more lonely than ever. His parents are going out, without him. They never take him to any of the parties they go to almost every night. The two hardly interact with Alistair at all. He's had tutors but has never been to school. Then, that night, his parents are killed. When their will is read, it presents Alistair with a choice: He can live on an impossibly small allowance until he's 25, or if Alistair attends Misselthwaite college for a year, he can come into his full inheritance.

Review - Dark Attraction by Drake LaMarque

My rating:

College surfer boy Brandon (‘Brand’) is looking for something. He just isn't sure what it is. He's tried guys. He's tried girls. But it's just been a series of one-night stands because something was missing. Then one night at a frat party, he spots Gage. The other man looks like a goth, but it's soon clear he's much more than that. Gage takes Brand back to his apartment, and against his better judgment, he lets the young man get under his skin.

Review - Painter's Rapture by Drake LaMarque

My rating:

Note: This series is very much designed to be read in order. If you haven't read the first three books, then this review may contain spoilers. The Gentleman's Bounty series comes to a conclusion as Cedric, along with his three lovers and the rest of the crew of the Devil's Whore, meet up with the crew of the Grey Kelpie from the His Piratical Harem series to defeat the cult seeking to use Cedric to open a gateway that would allow an ancient god to entire our world, and bring about its destruction.

Review - Schooled by the Scientist by Drake LaMarque

My rating:

Note: This series is very much designed to be read in order. If you haven't read the first two books, then this review may contain spoilers. Cedric, along with his three lovers and the rest of the crew of the Devil's Whore, is still on the run from the cult that wants to use Cedric to bring a powerful and malevolent being into this world from another dimension. Only, it seems that the being is making itself known even without the cult's help, giving Cedric enormous powers.

Review - Vampire's Indulgence by Drake LaMarque

My rating:

Note: This series is very much designed to be read in order. If you haven’t read the first book, then this review may contain spoilers. Cedric is back aboard the Devil’s Whore sailing back to the Caribbean with his two lovers, Captain Lucifer and the vampire Dante, along with his former tutor Oliver, who Cedric has long had a crush on, which both men are planning on exploring further. Although seemingly safe for now, everyone knows the cult that tried to sacrifice Cedric is not going to give up trying to get him back and use him to fulfill their plans to bring an ancient evil one into this world.

Review - Kidnapped by the Gentleman by Drake LaMarque

My rating:

Cedric is a rather feckless young man from London whose only talent seems to be getting into trouble. His despairing parents send him off to Kingston with his tutor, where they think there will be less opportunity for him to get in trouble. That plan clearly didn’t work out too well, so when Cedric returns home one morning after what he assumes was a particularly debauched night in a club — he assumes because he can’t remember any of it — he finds that his tutor has received orders for them to return immediately.

Review - Captain's Treasure by Drake LaMarque

My rating:

Warning: The books of this series are meant to be read in order. If you haven’t read the first three books, this review of the fourth will contain some spoilers. As you may recall, as the last book ended our sexy cabin boy Gideon and his lovers were sailing into an almost-certain encounter with Solomon, the powerful sea witch and ex-lover of Captain Tate. Will Gideon’s newfound magical powers be strong enough to protect himself and his lovers?

Review - Merfolk's Mate by Drake LaMarque

My rating:

Warning: If you haven’t read the first books of this series, there may be some spoilers in this review of the third. When last we saw our slutty cabin boy Gideon, he had just been “rescued” by the British navy, and at least two of his lovers were now in the brig on the navy ship. Whether or not the merfolk Ora or the cat Zeb managed to escape is unknown.

Review - First Mate's Pet by Drake LaMarque

My rating:

Warning: If you haven’t read the first book of this series, there may be some spoilers in this review of the second. Gideon seems quite happy with his four lovers, each of whom excites him in different ways. He’s learning to submit to Ezra while discovering the joys of leather, while also finding out that Zeb is still a very bossy cat even in human form. The main cloud on the horizon is the navy’s search for the Grey Kelpie, and Gideon, whom they believe was kidnapped by Captain Tate and his crew.
