Review - For the Love of a Boy by Morticia Knight
My rating:
Malcolm and Seth are settling in to their daddy and son relationship quite happily, for the most part. Seth still struggles with PTSD over the abuse he suffered at his father’s hand, and doubts about whether or not Malcolm can really care for such a “damaged” young man. Despite his progress, trouble looms on the horizon as the police are now investigating Seth’s claims of abuse by the church his father headed.

Review - Leather God Descending by Hadrian Temple
My rating:
Adam is an experienced Dom demonstrating bondage and discipline techniques at the Folsom fair when he spots a policeman in the crowd. The cop stops by the booth several times over the course of the day, and it becomes obvious to Adam that his interest is more than just keeping the peace. As the day winds down, Officer Riley takes the opportunity to talk to Adam, and it’s clear the policeman has a submissive side he’s curious about.
Review - The Voxlightner Scandal by Don Travis
My rating:
When a neighbor of BJ and Paul’s dies, Paul is sure it was no accident. After a call to his police friends, BJ is inclined to agree. The case seems to involve an old scandal that rocked Albuquerque, a scam that drew in most of the city’s elite, yet the case was never completely solved since two of the main players disappeared. As the two men look into the case, it quickly becomes clear that someone doesn’t like them digging up old dirt.

The Hunt for Red Fluffy by Angel Martinez
My rating:
When a stray hellcat - a creature only a demon can posses - appears on the station where the Brimstone has stopped, it’s obvious to just about everyone except Shax that it’s a trap, but he takes possession of the beast anyway. Thus begins a quite literal cat and mouse game as the demon prince and his crew try to outrun and outmaneuver the criminal gang out to capture them.

Review - The Story of Us by Logan Meredith
My rating:
At 40, Kyle considers himself a pretty ordinary guy leading a pretty settled life. About the most exciting thing he’s doing is going back to school to get his college degree. It’s at the school where Kyle more or less literally runs into Lucas, a much younger man who is perhaps the most beautiful guy Kyle has ever laid eyes on. Lucas is definitely out of Kyle’s league, yet the attraction seems mutual.

Review - Tallowwood by N.R. Walker
My rating:
August Shaw works cold cases in a state police office just outside of Sydney. He works alone and that’s the way he wants it. August likes the idea of bringing closure to families that have lost someone. Only, there’s one case he hasn’t been able to crack: a string of murders of gay men going back nearly a decade. The deaths have mostly been ruled suicides, but they have too much in common for that to be the case, but August’s superiors refuse to see it and think he’s too emotionally involved.

Near the end of the 22nd century, Galen is the chief surgeon in an Alaskan hospital, one of the few livable places in a world ravaged by climate change. His best friend is Navojan. The two have been very close since Galen discovered Navojan was really an alien. He was sent to Earth essentially as a spy to learn about humans, but his people have long since forgotten about him and his mission.

Sebastian Snow is a mildly successful antiques dealer in New York City. His main frustration in life is dealing with his extreme light sensitivity and his closeted boyfriend, who is a police officer. All that changes one morning when Sebastian opens his shop to discover a bad smell, which he finally figures out is coming from what appears to be a rotting heart under the floorboards. It’s the start of a mystery that turns Sebastian’s life upside down, and introduces him to Detective Duncan Winter.

My rating:
As the head bartender at the Kiss of Leather club, Elliot sees most of what goes on. He’s very happy that his friend Tobey and Master Hunter have finally got together, and he tries to be happy that his long-time crush Tai seems to be hitting it off with Master Lucas, but he still wishes he could find a Dom to give himself to completely.
