Review - Pressure Head by J.L. Merrow
My rating:
Tom’s life took a sharp turn at the age of 17 when he was hit by a car while running away from bullies. Rather than pursue a high flying career in law or medicine like his siblings, Tom settles for a quiet life as a plumber in the town of St Albans, where he occasionally puts his ability to “find things” to use helping the local police. He thinks he has made peace with what happened to him, until, that is, he meets up with one of the bullies who chased him, who also happened to be Tom’s first crush.

Review - Surrendering for Two by Morticia Knight
My rating:
Unlike Chris and his cousin Morgan, Graham wasn’t fortunate enough to fall into the hands of “uninfected” Alasharians who wouldn’t harm him. Instead, he had the misfortune to end up with the Alasharian leader, the Nall, who has been infected by the evil force of the Void. The Nall abuses Graham sexually and even scars him before the young man is rescued from being put to death at the end of the previous book, Hiding From Two.

Review - The Dom's Way by Sean Michael
My rating:
In this direct sequel to The Closet Boy, Way and Neal start to build a relationship as Master/Dom and submissive. It’s all so new to Way, who wants to please Neal but he has no experience to know how to do it right, and keeping up with a newly sexually awakened young man isn’t easy for Neal either. Where the previous book was more romance than BDSM, this one is practically one scene right after another for the entire book.
Review - A King's Rival by Xander Tracy
My rating:
Rygar is the chief of a nomadic tribe that lives on the open plains, herding caribou and occasionally raiding their neighbors for what they need. But the plains are being invaded by the Astor, a powerful kingdom that sees the nomads as uncivilized savages. Rygar sends an envoy to negotiate with King Vash of Astor, but the men are ambushed and thrown in the king’s dungeon. Rygar’s attempt to rescue his people results in his own capture, and a strange offer from King Vash.

Review - Lander by J. Scott Coatsworth
My rating:
Xander and Jameson may have thought the hard part was over once they managed to re-unite Oberon and Titania, two halves of a planet split between two universes by unknown forces many millenia ago. But rejoining the two worlds unleashes cataclysmic storms and avalanches, from which our heroes and their friends barely survive. Then there’s the problem of the un-winged humans, the “landsers.” They now have free access to the winged Skythane of Titania and seemed determined to wipe them out.

Review - The Harvest: Taken by M.A. Church
My rating:
Note: Those that follow my reviews regularly will probably notice that I’ve already reviewed the follow-on series to this one, The Harvest Young. I didn’t realize when selecting that series that it was closely linked to this one. While not having read “The Harvest” series didn’t detract much from the new series, there were clearly back stories to some of the secondary characters that piqued my interest. Hence, I’m going back to read the original two books.

Review - Hiding From Two by Morticia Knight
My rating:
Chris’ cousin Morgan takes center stage in this third installment of the Soul Match series. The skittish young man continues to have uncomfortable thoughts about Halosh, the Alasharian who guarded him after the disastrous pleasure party thrown by the Nall, and now he’s about to meet Rama, the commander to whom he is ostensibly going to be a slave for. When the two finally do meet, things don’t go at all the way Morgan expected.

Review - Alexander the Great by in60Learning
My rating:
Kindly note: The publisher of this series provided a free copy of this book in exchange for my honest review. in60Learning is a new range of books designed to provide and overview of people and events of the past in an easily digestible format. With a total print length of around 40 pages, they are meant, as the publisher’s name implies, to be read in around 60 minutes. The publisher offered me my choice of books for review.

Review - Echoes of the Gods by Gaia Sol
My rating:
Yngvi is a soldier of Midgard, defending Aasgard from any attackers, of which there haven’t been many of late. So, he spends his day around the market and taverns waiting for something interesting to happen, or someone appealing to come his way. It doesn’t matter much whether they’re male for female. One day a dark stranger catches his eye, and forever changes Yngvi’s world. Shara is actually from another realm, on a quest to stop a rogue god out to destroy all the ancient realms.
Review - Unraveled by K.M. Neuhold
My rating:
Auto mechanic Max has his hands full taking care of his daughter, who he shares custody of with her mother. He is definitely thinking about finding the “right girl” and settling down, but nobody he meets seems to spark any deep feelings. Max’s roommate and best friend Clay’s situation isn’t much different. He’s busy running his business and helping Max take care of his daughter. Only, in Clay’s case, he just hasn’t found the right guy, which is doubly hard for him given his need to be tied up to really enjoy sex.
