The rebellious incursion into one of Anrodnes’ neighbors instigated by Raine’s brothers has been quashed, and the brothers have paid with their lives. Now Prince Zaran can return return to the capital, and bring the banished concubine, and trained assassin, Hredeen with him. Review - Entwined by M.M. Wilde
My rating:
Fae Bram awakens one morning to realize he’s reached maturity; a time for him to seek out his fated alpha mate and start producing offspring. Unfortunately, for the first time in anyone’s memory, his alpha turns out to be a human, on the other side of the veil separating our world from the fae. Can Bram get his fated mate to accept him? It turns out to be a life or death question for the young fairy.
Review - History of Beauty by Meraki P. Lyhne
My rating:
More than a thousand years before Daniel was born, another royal emerged in the Norse regions of Europe. Like Daniel, Elakdon was almost immediately faced with dealing with new problems coming to the ancient Cubi peoples. Chief among these is a new religion sweeping north: Christianity. It’s a faith whose beliefs demonize and directly threaten the Cubi, who have traditionally lived openly alongside humans. “History of Beauty” is a story within the larger story of the Cubi series.

My rating:
Raine may be the chosen, destined to spend his life bonded to the Emperor Taldan, but he’s not sure the man truly accepts him, nor does he really know what role he will be able to play in the court. Meanwhile, Raine’s brothers back in Odenar have gone ahead with their plans to invade neighboring Bhantan and are killing and looting their way to the peaceful country’s valuable mines. Taldan’s brother Zaran is in hot pursuit of the invaders, and ambassador Isnay is trying to smooth things out with Bhantan’s new king.

Review - An Outlaw's Captive by Xander Tracy
My rating:
Army lieutenant Randall is really only in service to please his general father. He may not have the urge to fight, but he has a good head for organization and logistics, so he’s quite happy working behind the front lines of the King’s road project, making sure the army is supplied. Nobody seems to pay him much attention, especially his father, but Randall is used to that. Alan, the “Outlaw Wolf”, has had his brother captured by the army, and he thinks Randall is the perfect bargaining chip to get him back.

Review - Dark Rain by J.C. Owens
My rating:
As the youngest of four brothers ruling a remote province of the Anrodnes empire, not much is expected of Raine. Unlike his big brutish siblings, Raine is lithe and intellectual. He’s suffered enough beatings at the hands of his brothers to do whatever they demand, no matter how crazy the idea may seem. Their latest scheme involves getting Raine selected as the “Chosen” for the crown prince, a position that means he would be bonded for life to the future Emperor.

Review - No Fae is an Island by Angel Marinez
My rating:
Diego’s three year exile among the “wild fae” of the Otherworld is coming to an end, but as he and Finn prepare to return to the human world, Diego wonders if there’s still a place for him there. They might offer him his old job back as Consul in the Fae embassy, but he’s not sure he wants it. The human world has moved on since Diego was gone. Some countries accept the Fae and magically-affected humans as equals, while others seem them as demons and lock them up, or worse.

Review - Semper Fae by Angel Marinez
My rating:
Former marine sergeant Zach is settling into his new role as the chief of security for the Fae embassy to the human world. His main challenge is fending off the advances of the ambassador, Prince Lugh. It isn’t that Zach isn’t attracted to the prince, but the young man is basically a one-man kind of guy, and the Fae aren’t exactly known for monogamous relationships. But things are about to get more complicated, as magic flows back into the human world, resulting in strange happenings and hints of dark forces.

Review - Diego by Angel Marinez
My rating:
Building a solid relationship between a human and a Irish fairy was never going to be easy. When Diego misinterprets a situation he finds Finn in, his anger opens a hole in the veil which has kept the human and fae worlds separate for hundreds of years. Diego is plunged into a world he has no knowledge, or at least no recollection, of, and Finn finds himself still an outcast among his own people.
