Review - Dark Rain by J.C. Owens
My rating:
As the youngest of four brothers ruling a remote province of the Anrodnes empire, not much is expected of Raine. Unlike his big brutish siblings, Raine is lithe and intellectual. He’s suffered enough beatings at the hands of his brothers to do whatever they demand, no matter how crazy the idea may seem. Their latest scheme involves getting Raine selected as the “Chosen” for the crown prince, a position that means he would be bonded for life to the future Emperor.

Review - No Fae is an Island by Angel Marinez
My rating:
Diego’s three year exile among the “wild fae” of the Otherworld is coming to an end, but as he and Finn prepare to return to the human world, Diego wonders if there’s still a place for him there. They might offer him his old job back as Consul in the Fae embassy, but he’s not sure he wants it. The human world has moved on since Diego was gone. Some countries accept the Fae and magically-affected humans as equals, while others seem them as demons and lock them up, or worse.

Review - Semper Fae by Angel Marinez
My rating:
Former marine sergeant Zach is settling into his new role as the chief of security for the Fae embassy to the human world. His main challenge is fending off the advances of the ambassador, Prince Lugh. It isn’t that Zach isn’t attracted to the prince, but the young man is basically a one-man kind of guy, and the Fae aren’t exactly known for monogamous relationships. But things are about to get more complicated, as magic flows back into the human world, resulting in strange happenings and hints of dark forces.

Review - Diego by Angel Marinez
My rating:
Building a solid relationship between a human and a Irish fairy was never going to be easy. When Diego misinterprets a situation he finds Finn in, his anger opens a hole in the veil which has kept the human and fae worlds separate for hundreds of years. Diego is plunged into a world he has no knowledge, or at least no recollection, of, and Finn finds himself still an outcast among his own people.

Review - A Prince's Hostage by Xander Tracy
My rating:
Elliyan is a thief. A very good thief. He has a bit of advantage in that he can see and penetrate the magical spells that the aristocrats use to protect their precious baubles. He’s supposed to be lying low in the provinces when he spots Prince Rayne in the market place, wearing an irresistible gold medallion with a giant blue stone. Elliyan is bored and ready to take risks he should know better than to take.

Review - Finn by Angel Marinez
My rating:
Irish fairy (pooka) Finn wakes from a centuries-long slepp to a very unfamiliar modern world. He somehow finds his way to New York City, which is no place for a being that gets their nourishment from fresh water and nature. He’s weak and disheveled when Diego spots him on a bridge. Diego is someone who just can’t help trying to make other people’s lives better. Fearing that Finn might harm himself, and with no idea what he really is, Diego takes him home.

Review - Natural Beauty by Meraki P. Lyhne
My rating:
While plans proceed for Daniel’s investiture as king of the North American cubi, the young man himself still isn’t completely sure he will be up to the task. The prospect would be daunting enough, without the added responsibility of being practically in a state of war with rogue elements of the human military. Meanwhile, freed “breeder” Alex is having trouble adjusting to life outside the cubi world. He felt used as a sex slave by the cubi, but now that he’s home with his homophobic parents and working a thankless job in a stock room, he begins to see his former life in a new light.
Review - A King's Vow by Xander Tracy
My rating:
When the king of Kenta dies without an heir, his ward Naxar steps into the vacuum to reunite the kingdom, a task which requires him to be ruthless. Just as he is subduing the last of the nobels opposing him, Naxar receives a letter from the king of Ashwall Castle, where he spent his youth before being sent off to Kenta. The king seeks Naxar’s help with a famine that plagues his land, and promises to, in effect, “make it worth his while.

But the plains are being invaded by the Astor, a powerful kingdom that sees the nomads as uncivilized savages.
