Review - Ziggy by Nora Phoenix and K.M. Neuhold

Byron, who decides to use the stage name Ziggy for his porn career, is about to shoot his first scene for Kinky Boys. Unfortunately, when Marshall tries to discuss limits with Ziggy, it becomes very clear that the young man doesn’t know enough about kink to understand what he’s agreeing to. He doesn’t want to disappoint Hunter, who hired him, or Marshall. So, Marshall takes Ziggy in hand and manages to get him through his first two scenes with Dom Harley, but it’s clear Byron really isn’t into bondage, and the impact scene scares him completely, although he really gets into puppy play.

Silver Cruz works two jobs to earn enough money to achieve his dream of owning his own garage as soon as possible. He’s an expert mechanic with a passion for classic sports cars. Silver is just getting off work from his second job at a diner when he spots someone having car trouble on the street near where he parked his car.

My rating:
Joey may be “just” a cameraman for a porn studio, but he’s very good at it and his skills have propelled Ballsy Boys productions to the top spot. Perhaps it’s because as a straight man he doesn’t get distracted and can focus on capturing the scene at its best. Unfortunately, he needs to leave the studio so he can take care of his parents in Las Vegas. Luckily for him, a friend of the studio owner is opening up a new production company in Vegas, and could use a good cameraman.

Malcolm and Seth are settling into their life together in a daddy/son dynamic, but there are still hurdles they need to clear. First, there’s meeting Malcolm’s parents, and then there’s the looming trial of Seth’s father along with the other church leaders who imprisoned him as well as many others. Will Malcolm be able to get Seth through the challenges that face them? By now, in this third and final installment of the Father series, the characters are well established.

Alasdair runs a successful cleaning services company and is interviewing candidates to fill more vacancies at his growing business. Cosmo is one of the people he interviews, but the younger man has every intention of failing it, so he can keep benefits and work on his music with the band he belongs to. The two seem like “chalk and cheese”, to use the British expression, yet there’s a mutual attraction that is hard to deny, and when they get together one evening the sparks fly.

Malcolm and Seth are settling in to their daddy and son relationship quite happily, for the most part. Seth still struggles with PTSD over the abuse he suffered at his father’s hand, and doubts about whether or not Malcolm can really care for such a “damaged” young man. Despite his progress, trouble looms on the horizon as the police are now investigating Seth’s claims of abuse by the church his father headed.

As the head bartender at the Kiss of Leather club, Elliot sees most of what goes on. He’s very happy that his friend Tobey and Master Hunter have finally got together, and he tries to be happy that his long-time crush Tai seems to be hitting it off with Master Lucas, but he still wishes he could find a Dom to give himself to completely. Tai and Lucas are finding that they’re more attracted to each other than either of them expected, but there’s no getting past the fact that Tai doesn’t want to be a full time sub, and he even likes to top sometimes.

An advance copy of this book was provided free of charge for this review. Seth has escaped his extremely homophobic father, whose religious beliefs led him to try and beat the gay out of his own son, and sending him to brutal conversion camps. He finally screws up the courage to visit a gay bar, where he’s aggressively approached by a pair of jerks. Malcolm is just trying to have a quiet drink, but he’s not the type of guy who can stand seeing another person picked on, and once he gets a better look at Seth, he knows the young man needs a guiding hand.
