Review - Pieces of Me by N.R. Walker
My rating:
Kindly note: This sequel starts directly after the ending of the first book, and picks up with the same characters right where they left off. If you haven’t read the first installment of this series, be prepared for spoilers. When last we left our two lovers, Justin had just had a sort of breakthrough. He still has no memory of Dallas, but the meaning of the dreams his subconscious has been giving him is finally clear: Dallas really is where he is supposed to be.

Review - The Walls Between Hearts by L.A. Witt
My rating:
After burying two partners, Terry isn’t interested in another relationship. He doesn’t want to face the possibility of going through the loss of another man he was close to. Gene feels much the same way. He hasn’t had to face the death of a partner, but after two divorces and a lot of failed relationships, he’s not looking for love. Friends with benefits might be nice, though. When Terry and Gene meet at a Las Palmas Fencing Club event, there’s an instant attraction, and since neither of them is looking for a relationship, they think they’ve found just what they’re looking for.

Review - Nailed by K.M. Neuhold
My rating:
Dare feels like he has the neighbor from hell. Every weekend the guy manages to wake him up way too early with some sort of intrusion, whether it’s mowing his lawn at the crack of dawn, or bringing in a petting zoo for the birthday party of his friend’s daughter. For his part, Stone enjoys winding his grumpy neighbor up. He doesn’t know why the man took such an instant dislike to him the moment he moved in, but paying him back gives him a strange pleasure.

Review - Fearing the Dream by Ann Marie James
My rating:
Sergei spots Stuart at the wedding of mutual friends and starts chatting with him. Both are enjoying the conversation, but when Sergei suddenly leaves without getting Stuart’s phone number, Stuart just assumes that he’s not interesting enough for the Russian-born business man. Turned out by his parents when he reached 18 simply because he was surplus to requirements, it’s no surprise Stuart has some self-esteem issues. Sergei is much the opposite.

Review - The Last Drop by Layla Reyne
My rating:
Greg is drowning his sorrows in alcohol after the failure of his latest restaurant in New Orleans. It’s the third eatery in a row the he’s opened and had to close. However, tonight there’s one small point of light on the horizon. The bartender serving him is a very hot little hipster dude, and to make it even better, the man makes the best cocktails he’s ever tasted. Bartender Tony is just as attracted to the burly chef, but it’s his last night in New Orleans.
