Review - Haze Me by BL Sparrow
My rating:
Aidan’s father led a double life. He had another wife and son who lived in a big mansion in a posh neighborhood, while Aidan and his mother were the man’s dirty little secret with a modest house on the other side of town. They didn’t even know the man’s real name until Aidan’s mother found out and kicked him out. Things went downhill for Aidan and his mother after that.
Review - Nothing Left to Lose by N.R. Walker
My rating:
Brody and Miller have been best friends since high school. They remained so even after Miller came out. The two are often so close that people mistake them for boyfriends even though Brody is straight. The problem is that Miller has been in love with Brody almost since they met, and it has become torture to be around him. Sensing the distance Miller has started to put between them, Brody enters them in a contest for newlyweds, partly as a joke.

Review - The Last Nights of the Frangipani Hotel by Bey Deckard
My rating:
Actor James Talbot is enjoying his vacation at a run-down hotel on a Caribbean island. The resort may have been grand at one time, but the years have taken their toll. Few people stay there these days, especially in the off-season, and that suits James just fine. His solitude is interrupted by the arrival of a guest who takes the cabin right next to James. The guest turns out to be another actor, Rudie, whom James has worked with in the past.

Review - The Complications of T by Bey Deckard
My rating:
Stuart falls off the wagon when his wife asks for a divorce. After five years of sobriety, it doesn't take much to get drunk. With his acting career already on the skids, Stuart can't afford to make a scene that might appear in the tabloids. He manages to make it out of the bar but is seriously considering the possibility of passing out on the sidewalk when a "woman" comes to his rescue.

Review - The Lightkeeper's Son by Daniel Elijah Sanderfer
My rating:
Leland lives with his parents on a North Carolina resort island. It's an idyllic life, but it gets a bit lonely for a gay teenager when all the tourists leave once the summer season is over. Doug has just been kicked out of his home when his wealthy ultra-conservative father finds him with another boy. With nowhere else to go, he heads to the family's seldom-used beach house on Leland's island to try and figure things out.

Review - From Top to Bottom by Kevin Klehr
My rating:
Dedicated top Tony is curious about bottoming. What’s a modern top to do? Form a support group of other tops who want to give things a try from the other side, of course. “From Top to Bottom” is a rather tongue-in-cheek erotic short novellete. There’s plenty of hot scenes and humor to help cover up the rather preposterous plot set-up. The characters are engaging if not very deeply developed. Tony and his new buddy Butch are the most well drawn characters, while the rest are just set pieces.

Review - Counterbalance by Aidan Wayne
My rating:
John leads a settled life as the head rigger for an acrobatic troupe based in Canada. Disfigured in a hate crime when he was a teenager, he is used to being avoided and left to get on with his work of figuring out how to stage the troupe’s daring performances safely. But things change when a new group of acrobats from China arrives for the up-coming season. One of them, Bao, seems fascinated rather than repulsed by John’s looks, and seeks him out at every opportunity.

Review - Stealing His Dangling Jewels by James Cox
My rating:
This review originally appeared on the BDSM Book Reviews site. Phoenix is in dire need of money. A lot of money. It’s not for himself, he wants to get his mother into rehab, although it probably won’t do her any good. Phoenix reads about Lucas, a very rich man, thanks to a lottery winning, with his own private island and a genital piercing sporting sapphires and diamonds that has to be worth several thousand dollars.
