Review - Master by Choice by M.A. Innes
My rating:
It’s still early days for Cooper, Sawyer and their prospective master Jackson. The ever-optimistic Cooper is already all-in on the relationship, but Sawyer is being cautious. It’s just in his nature, and Jackson accepts that. He knows he is going to have to let each of the two young men go at their own speed. Jackson is sure he wants the relationship with both of them to work, even though some people might not understand or accept it.

Review - Edmund, Accountant of the Night by Angel Martinez
My rating:
Edmund has been on the run from Hunters for a long time. The Hunters are single-minded in their pursuit of magical beings, whom they tear apart when they catch them. It’s not like Edmund is a danger to anyone. He may be a vampire, but he’s a vampire fruit bat. The only thing he sucks the life out of is ripe fruit. In desperation, Edmund flees to Mereston, although he’s not sure he will be welcomed even there.
Review - River by C.J. Dragon
My rating:
Earth was a dying planet when the Guardians arrived and took over. They ended all wars. Polluting industries and the billionaires who perpetuated them were eliminated. Everyone has a guaranteed basic income and the freedom to pursue their interests. But the Guardians permit no dissent. Those who do speak out tend to disappear. River works in the diplomatic service for the Guardians, dealing with other aliens who come to Earth.

Review - Dream Tentacled by Alexa Piper
My rating:
Fian is a demon. A kraken-shaped demon, to be exact. But he’s nowhere near as scary as that makes him sound. Fian is really just a gentle person. He lives in the Morepheusrealm and makes his living carving driftwood. When his brother announces his impending marriage to a human, he also informs Fian that he will be the best man and must bring a date. Fian decides to find a human to bring and so visits dry land in his human form.
Review - The Father by Jay L. North
My rating:
Oliver was orphaned at a young age and raised by a disinterested aunt. He’s never really felt like he belonged. Then he joined a church where he met Clara and fell in love. The two decide to get married, but the church requires couples to undergo a two-week initiation course to ensure “compatibility” before getting married. Oliver is nervous, but not too worried. He’s had nothing but positive experiences with the church.
