Everyone knows Charles Campion as “Bad”. Some don’t even know his real name. Bad is a true sadist who gets gratification from inflicting pain on other men, as long as they’re willing. He works in campus security at a university and has developed an obsession with a student he sees on one of his cameras working at the postal kiosk. Red is gay but hasn’t really clicked with anyone. The other college guys he meets can’t give Red the kind of domination he craves. When Bad makes his move on Red, it’s everything the young man fantasized about, but is it too much? And with the term ending in a few weeks, where can it go?

“Bad Comes First” is a story of an intense S & M relationship with a strong streak of risky humiliation. You may think you’re kinky, but this story is not for everyone. The scenes are definitely hot, but at least a few aspects of them made me uncomfortable. Different strokes, as they say, and there are several points where Bad checks that Red consents to what happens.

The storytelling alternates between Bad and Red’s points of view. Red comes across as a relatively normal college student, his masochistic desires notwithstanding. We even get some ideas as to why Red may have some of his kinks. While Bad seems to exert an almost hypnotic influence over Red, the young man isn’t stupid or foolish. He has the presence of mind to question Bad’s intentions and even sometimes rebel against the control. His doubts seem perfectly natural.

Bad is a little harder to relate to, at least for me. He definitely knows what he wants, and like most Doms in D/s stories, Bad seems to have a knack for identifying potential submissives who will succumb to his brand of domination. I didn’t think Bad was very likable at first. It takes a while for us to see Bad’s human side and warm up to him a little. He definitely has it ‘bad’ for Red.
