Aidan’s father led a double life. He had another wife and son who lived in a big mansion in a posh neighborhood, while Aidan and his mother were the man’s dirty little secret with a modest house on the other side of town. They didn’t even know the man’s real name until Aidan’s mother found out and kicked him out. Things went downhill for Aidan and his mother after that. Now, Aidan is out for revenge. He got a scholarship to the same university that his brother, whom he’s never met, attends. Aidan plans to pledge to the fraternity where his half-brother is president, then dig up the dirt he knows must exist on the man so he can expose him. Things don’t quite go as planned.
“Haze Me” is the first of three serialized books in the Zeta Mu Tau series. The books are each only about fifty pages long, so if the series piques your interest, you’re better off buying the omnibus edition to get all three books together. As you can probably guess from the title, this first book covers just a few scenes of Aidan getting hazed, mainly by his half-brother Foster, as a pledge to the fraternity. This is erotica, so you can guess the direction the hazing takes.
The storytelling alternates between Aidan and Foster’s points of view. We get to know Aidan well as he plots works to blend in as a pledge to the fraternity. The series of events that had to happen exactly right to set up the plot of this story may seem farfetched, but Aiden himself is believable. His unexpected reaction to the hazing is certainly the stuff most kinky stories are based on.
We don’t get to know Foster as well, except that he seems to be a predatory sort that senses Aidan’s potential weakness and is fully on board with exploiting it. Perhaps we'll learn more about him in the next two books.
The three books in this series are all very short. The three together are still on the short side for a novel, so if the story interests you, you're probably better off buying the Omnibus edition.
