Review - Human Omega: Married to the Barbarian Prince by Eileen Glass
My rating:
Carter and the warriors have successfully taken the mining ship used by the insect invaders. They can’t leave it where it is or the insects will eventually break through their defenses. Carter isn’t a pilot, but he has to figure out how to move the ship and teach his friends how to work everything else. More importantly, Carter needs some place safe for him to have the baby he’s expecting.

Review - Human Omega: Babied by His Guardian Mates by Eileen Glass
My rating:
Spoiler alert: This review of the third Pykh book may contain spoilers for the first two volumes. Carter may have finally solved his communication problem, but that leads to a whole new set of challenges, like explaining to his two mates that he can’t get pregnant and doesn’t need to be treated like a delicate princess. As if that wasn’t enough, the camp commander returns with a group of elite soldiers who will escort Carter to meet their leader.

Review - Human Omega: Trapped in the Alien Jungle by Eileen Glass
My rating:
Carter is on the run with his two alien cage-mates through the jungles of the aliens’ planet after escaping from the insectoids that enslaved them. The two big feline-like aliens are more than friends to Carter, even though his attempts at communication continually fail to get anywhere. Their former masters pursue the trio relentlessly, leaving them little time to rest and eat. It takes a toll on them all, but especially Carter, whose human body is not designed for the climate.

Review - Human Omega: Discovered on the Slave Planet by Eileen Glass
My rating:
Carter is a space marine on his first assignment after finishing boot camp. The station he's assigned to is attacked by an insectoid race of scavengers who capture Carter and take him to a world where he is held as a slave. Carter is put in a cage with two other giant aliens. They are natives of the planet and appear to be a cross between a cat and a porcupine.

Review - Hybrid Incubator by Meraki P. Dark
My rating:
Alex has been an avid ecologist since he was a young boy picking up trash in the woods that people carelessly discarded. Unfortunately, even with a doctorate in environmental science, his passion doesn't pay the bills. After another fruitless day of interviewing for jobs he is over-qualified for, Alex feels the need for a drink. Slightly drunk, he agrees to a road trip with another patron who is also a bit down on his luck.

Review - Raphael's Rescue by C.J. Dragon
My rating:
Raphael is a child of the Mars colony, the main outpost for humanity since Earth is no longer habitable. He is also a powerful empath, so while he loves his extended family, he sometimes needs time alone to keep their thoughts from overwhelming him. That's easily accomplished by taking his small scout ship Agatha out to look for minerals in the asteroid belt. It's on one of these trips that he encounters a Chi'NoSa ship that accidentally damages Agatha.

Review - Submitted by Sam Burns and W.M. Fawkes
My rating:
Homeless and living on the street since his father threw him out for being gay, of all the humans taken by the Thorzen, Beau has the fewest reasons to ever want to return to earth. He may be kept in a cell in a lab, but he's fed and doesn't seem to be in any danger, even if the lab's leader Crux does sneer at him. And there's definitely a small bright spot: Crux's son Vorian, who just about everyone avoids, seems to have take an interest in Beau that is more than a little friendly.

Review - There Will Be Aliens by Holly Day
My rating:
Carlo and his best friend Grace are having drinks, commiserating over the loss of Carlo's cheating boyfriend. They've had a bit too much to drink, and on their way home they're kidnapped by aliens along with several other earth women. Captain Zenon and his crew have been ordered to bring back some earth women to try and solve their race's reproductive issues. The male, Carlo, isn't necessary but there's something about the man that “Zen” can't resist, even though it makes him uncomfortable.

My rating:
Spoiler alert: If you haven't read the first book of this series, there's no way to review this installment without revealing key developments of the previous volume. Having been sold by their captors to the Kríe king, Alec and his team have to adjust to life in the palace as “pets” of King Zercy, who has taken a special liking to Alec. The team captain is determined to fend off the king's advances while holding out hope of a rescue party reaching them.

Review - Declared by Sam Burns and W.M. Fawkes
My rating:
Wesley is a talented software developer, working on video games. But his work is mostly on short term contracts that never turn into full time jobs, so he lives from contract to contract with hardly anything saved up and no idea how he's going to pay the mortgage on the house he inherited from his parents. In a way, getting kidnapped by big blue aliens may be the best thing to happen to the young man who has always dreamed of exploring the stars.
