Marines Sam and his best friend Benoit are on their way back to their base in Afganistan when their helicopter is shot down. As the only two walking survivors of the crash. Sam and Benoit are taken prisoner by the taliban. The two are tortured and subjected to humiliating sexual abuse. The only ray of hope for Sam is the blue eyed Abbas, an Oxford educated Afghan forced to act as interpreter for Sam’s captors.

The Misadventures of Doc and Dirk, Volume II by Dan Skinner
My rating:
The author, known only as ‘Doc’ in this series, is back with more tales of his life with his muse/apprentice Dirk. Like the first book, this second volume offers up a series of vignettes depicting Doc’s growing relationship with the rather maddening, yet still fascinating Dirk. The main thrust of this set of stories seems to be demonstrating why, despite his many eccentricities, Doc continues to find his muse in Dirk.
Review - The Luckiest Master by Sean Michael
My rating:
Damien, ‘Day’ to his friends, is the new front office manager for the Iron Eagle Gym. It’s more than one person can handle and he’s desperate to find an assistant who can help him out. He wouldn’t mind finding a full time sub while he’s at it, but he doesn’t expect to find them both in the same man. ‘Saw’ is the perfect assistant, and he’s clearly a submissive who needs a master to take care of, only, having already lost one master and failed at business, Saw is convinced that he’s bad luck.

Review - Skip Trace by Jenn Burke and Kelly Jensen
My rating:
The third installment of the Chaos Station series kicks off with the resurrected Zed’s return to his family home, along with the rest of the crew of the Chaos. Not everyone is happy to see Zed back among the living, especially the military, who hoped his death, along with the others they experimented on to create super soldiers, would bury their embarrassing secret program. His lover Felix isn’t too happy to see Zed back in the bossom of his rich and powerful family, reminding him that he doesn’t belong.

Review - Stealing His Dangling Jewels by James Cox
My rating:
This review originally appeared on the BDSM Book Reviews site. Phoenix is in dire need of money. A lot of money. It’s not for himself, he wants to get his mother into rehab, although it probably won’t do her any good. Phoenix reads about Lucas, a very rich man, thanks to a lottery winning, with his own private island and a genital piercing sporting sapphires and diamonds that has to be worth several thousand dollars.

Review - Brit Boys: With Toys Anthology
My rating:
This review was written for and originally appeared on BDSM Book Reviews. This anthology of eight stories by British authors explores the role of toys in relationships between men. In some of the tales the notion of what is a ‘toy’ is stretched a bit, but almost all feature some object, to some degree, which plays a part in the plot. The level of kink varies from essentially none to being a central part of the relationships depicted.
Review - Naked Mailman by Dawn Flemington
My rating:
This review originally appeared at BDSM Book Reviews. Ken is rather bored with his life as a mailman but he isn’t quite prepared for the turns his life takes when he is assaulted and left bound naked in his mail truck one day on his delivery rounds. Not only does he have to deal with the public notoriety of being the “naked mailman”, he also finds himself unable to rid himself of the image of his assailant, and the submissive feelings the man has awakened in him.

Review - The Best Little Boy in the World by Andrew Tobias
My rating:
As a very young child, the author’s parents praise him as “the best little boy in the world” (BLBITW). Such parental praise may be relatively common, but our hero truly takes it to heart and spends many years trying to live up to the perceived expectations of his parents and others. When he realizes that he prefers boys to girls he sublimates those feelings, since the BLBITW most certainly can’t have such feelings.

Review - Claimed by the Order by J. Johanis
My rating:
Imagine if you will that the mythical gods of the ancient world — Greek, Egyptian, Mesopotamian, etc. — were all real, and interacted with each other. They form the elite society of the time, and they even have their own boarding school where the younger gods can learn about history, warfare and seduction — all the godly arts. As private schools catering to the rich and powerful, narturaly there’s a secret society that nobody is supposed to know about, yet everyone seems to be a member of.
Review - Castrato: A Vampire's Redemption: Book One by Cypher Andrews
My rating:
Let’s start out with the blurb for this book, since it might be described as a little misleading: You might think it’s a fairly obvious statement, but most vampires actually enjoy what they are. They revel in it. Nathan Bane is a vampire who doesn’t want to be a vampire. “You know, I just figured if it was my fate to become a monster, at least I could control what kind of monster I would become.
