Perry had a good thing going with his sugar daddy boyfriend who produced reality television shows. What he didn’t know until they were arrested was that the guy was also a major drug supplier. Perry is sent to jail, and thanks to his smart mouth, ends up in solitary. Eventually, he is given a choice: join a special ‘rehabilitation’ program run by the police, or go back into the general population, where Perry will be used and brutalized by the other inmates. Perry jumps at the chance, only to find that the program is really an underground porn studio. The young man proves very popular, and the threat of being sent back to prison keeps him motivated, although Perry still has a problem controlling his mouth. Unfortunately, Perry’s continued belligerence has caught the attention of the boss, who assigns Liam to break the young man. Liam comes across as a total hardass, but then sometimes quietly apologizes for his rough behavior. Is Liam a potential ally, or is it just more mind games?

This short erotic fantasy imagines a rather elaborate enterprise run by corrupt police officers. It all seems a bit unlikely, but that’s not unusual for such stories. As is often the case with these fantasies, you just have to go with the flow and see where the setup takes you. Within that fantastical setup, the characters and situations are believable.

The story is told entirely from Perry’s point of view. He seems to have been a party boy since leaving home at a young age and living on the streets for a while. The sex and drugs are used to mask some unhappy memories. Perry’s challenge in the story is to see himself as more than just a sex object, good only to fulfill other men’s fantasies.

We only get to know Liam, whom Perry dubs ‘Meathead’, through Perry’s eyes. Liam seems to take an interest in Perry from the very start. The reason behind that comes out eventually. Given the short length of the book, we don’t get to know either character all that well, but it is enough to get emotionally invested in the two men.
