Theo is completely on board with the idea of an alien dominant. All those tentacles have so many possibilities. But Theo is trying not to get his hopes up. The human Doms he has dated thought Theo was too much work, with his scatterbrained thinking. The assurances of his best friend Nicholas, who has an alien dominant, aren’t doing much to keep Theo from worrying. When one of the aliens, Jerker, introduces himself, Theo is overwhelmed. Jerker takes charge and makes sure Theo feels safe. From then on, there’s really no room for doubt.
This last (for now) book of the New Neighbors series takes a look at another pairing between a submissive human and one of the aliens that have come to earth. It’s another spicy-sweet romance with very little drama as the two people learn to give each other what they need.
This installment of the series is a bit different from the previous ones, in that it is told entirely from Theo’s point of view. Theo is a sweet young man that likes to be cuddled and cared for, as long as the one doing it is happy as well. The young man’s major kink is being held, even restrained, which makes the multi-tentacled aliens perfect for him. Although he never expresses it in so many words, it’s clear Theo quickly becomes addicted to being held by Jerker.
The alien Jerker is a bit different from the previous books. He is less integrated into human society than the others. The reason for that gets explained as the two get to know each other. Like the other aliens we’ve met in the series, Jerker takes his dominant role very seriously. He researches everything he can find on human behavior and sexuality, which can lead to some funny conversations with Theo. Of all the books in the series, I think this one had the most laugh-out-loud passages.
