Damien, ‘Day’ to his friends, is the new front office manager for the Iron Eagle Gym. It’s more than one person can handle and he’s desperate to find an assistant who can help him out. He wouldn’t mind finding a full time sub while he’s at it, but he doesn’t expect to find them both in the same man.
‘Saw’ is the perfect assistant, and he’s clearly a submissive who needs a master to take care of, only, having already lost one master and failed at business, Saw is convinced that he’s bad luck. He doesn’t want to get involved with Day, for fear that something bad will happen to the Master, even though he is attracted to Day.
“The Luckiest Master” follows a rather predictable D/s plot: Perfect Dom meets the perfect sub, but some Problem gets in the way of their perfect union. However, while the plot may not hold any surprises, there are some well written characters and plenty of hot scenes to keep you from noticing, too much.
We don’t get to know too much about Day’s background, but we get to know a lot about what Saw has been through, since that is what drives the story. He does seem a little too good to be true, but that doesn’t damage his believability too much.
Although this is the third book in a series, it stands on its own. A few characters from the prior volumes make an appearance but they don’t have any roles that require you to know their history.
“The Luckiest Master” is available from Amazon.
