Carter and Reed are essentially two of a kind. Both have convinced themselves, albeit for different reasons, that they have no interest in having a relationship with anyone. Carter won’t let anything interfere with taking care of his special needs half-brother and only allows himself a single weekend a month to seek out the sexual release he craves. Reed just doesn’t want to let anyone get close enough to hurt him again. The no-strings-attached arrangement they make seems to meet both their needs, until they begin to realize that the heart wants what it wants.

“The Arrangement” is a Romance with a capital “R”. Carter and Reed are quite realistic, normal human beings, with all their flaws. They aren’t perfect lovers who just haven’t found someone to appreciate them, nor are they heroically flawed. They’re just people who have many things going in their lives that they have to deal with. Just like real people, they’ve convinced themselves that they don’t have time or room in their lives for a relationship, even when they meet someone they can’t stop thinking about.

While you might be quite confident from the get-go that Carter and Reed will get together in the end, you may question that assumption several times over the course of their up and down relationship. The roller coaster nature of the two men’s relationship means these twists come quite naturally to the story, and they keep you reading on to find out what happens.

“The Arrangement” is available from Amazon.
