Review - The Proposal for Unity by C.J. Dragon
My rating:
Jon and Talin have only just returned to Daran when news of a devastating pandemic sweeping Earth reaches them. Fearing for their parent’s safety, the couple organizes a Daranii mission to assist the humans. As expected, the Daranii help is not universally welcomed by everyone on Earth, even when a vaccine is quickly developed. The cure itself introduces even more complications into Human-Daranii relations. This is the first book of a trilogy that forms a sequel to the Daranii Justice series.

Review - His Human by M.A. Innes
My rating:
Trip is very into the BDSM lifestyle, but he has yet to find the right man who can dominate him in the way he needs. He’s a little envious of his best friend Cameron, who seems to have found the perfect Dom in one of the tentacled aliens that have settled on Earth. While shopping for groceries one day, Trip is surprised to be hit on the head with a marshmallow tossed over the shelves from the next aisle.

Review - Grayson Ryder: A Thief's Thrill by M. L. Giles
My rating:
Grayson Ryder is quite the bad boy. He is a pickpocket and a thief, although he only steals enough for him and his sister to get by. It’s not just a lack of job skills that keeps Grayson stealing. He enjoys the thrill and danger of it. When most of the world’s people are killed by a devastating disease, Grayson’s skills suddenly become very useful among the survivors. His ability to think quickly, size up a situation, and get in and out of places without being seen come in handy among the small groups of people trying to stay alive, but Grayson has always been a loner.
Review - The Purpose of Sactuary by C.J. Dragon
My rating:
Note, this book is part of a series meant to be read in order. This review of the third book in the set may contain spoilers about the previous installments. Jon and Talin have returned to Daran, but things are far from settled there. A rogue member of the Warriors is rallying support against acceptance of the human Jon, even more so after it’s revealed he has Duranii DNA. Talin’s over-protective warrior mentality doesn’t really help put Jon at ease.

Review - The Taste of New York by H Birchwood, Key Dyson & Raymond Roach
My rating:
Rich Merrill is in New York to speak at a conference. The city is still one of the major world financial centers despite all the changes wrought by the changing climate. Rich is definitely out of his element. Fortunately, he meets Solace King in a coffee shop. Like Rich, Sol is descended from genetically modified parents. Only, his genes give Sol a more elfin appearance, with pointy ears and a diminutive stature.

Review - Review - The Promise of Sacrifice by C.J. Dragon
My rating:
Note: The books of this series are very much meant to be read in order. If you haven't read the first book, this review of the second may contain some spoilers. Jon has been given permission to visit Earth to get surgery that might fix the damage to his heart caused by the Daranii torture. His life-mate Talin will accompany him along with their guard. Jon is overjoyed at the chance to see his family, who were told he was dead.

Review - Submit to the Alien by Xander Tracy
My rating:
Nerren is an omega. A descendant of genetically modified human males that can conceive and give birth. Omegas are prized by some and despised by others. Nerren has been trying to live under the radar since being orphaned as a boy, but he’s running out of options if he wants to stay alive. Offering his reproductive capability to an alien willing to pay a lot of money for it seems like a way out.

Review - The Price of Surrender by C.J. Dragon
My rating:
The humans’ first encounter with the Daranii didn't go well. It started a war Earth had no hope of winning. They only beat the more advanced race in one battle, under the command of Captain Jonathan Thomsin. When Earth is forced to surrender, one of the terms calls for Captain Thomsin to be turned over to the Duranii as a “sacrifice.” Jon knows he will probably be executed, and he definitely won't ever see Earth again.

Review - Human Omega: Discovered on the Slave Planet by Eileen Glass
My rating:
Carter is a space marine on his first assignment after finishing boot camp. The station he's assigned to is attacked by an insectoid race of scavengers who capture Carter and take him to a world where he is held as a slave. Carter is put in a cage with two other giant aliens. They are natives of the planet and appear to be a cross between a cat and a porcupine.
