Like the rest of his family, Rene is a member of the Circle of Thales, a secretive society of intellectuals that lives in vast caverns below the surface of the planet Floor. Review - That Alien Feeling by Alessandra Hazard
My rating:
“Harry” is the youngest son of his clan’s ruling family. He’s been a rather naughty prince, using his telepathic powers to pry a secret from his sister. To punish him and teach him the value of the family bonds he enjoys, his parents send Harry to the far off primitive planet Earth where he manages to pass as a nice if rather eccentric human. He gets a job as a barista in a London coffee shop and enjoys interacting with all the very interesting humans.

My rating:
Earth is about to be invaded by hostile aliens from the void, but David’s knowledge of crystal energy helps avoid the full invasion, with a little help from another alien, Prince Lonn. The leader of the invasion force is captured, and it turns out to be Lonn’s brother Vell. Eventually, Lonn takes Vell back to their homeworld to face punishment. Review - Dominic's Star by Michael Mandrake
My rating:
This book is part of a multi-author series featuring shifters, gargoyles and male pregnancy. Aside from the theme(s), there’s no connection between the books so it’s not necessary to read them all or read them in order. Dominic is a man on a war-like planet of bear shifters. He wants to advance his military career, but his father’s mistakes are constantly held against him. In what he thinks is a bold move to show he’s not his father’s son, Dominic comes up with the idea to undertake a spy mission to a nearby planet his military is considering trying to take over.

Review - Space Fox by L.M. Brown
My rating:
Gargoyle Jude is preparing for his first mission as part of G-Force, Earth’s space fleet. He has been assigned to visit the planet Cairo, one of many that was colonized when it looked like the earth was on its last legs, yet not visited for many years. After encountering some hostile visitors shortly after his arrival, Jude crashes his ship. Faced with a long trek across a featureless desert, Jude has little choice but to accept the help of Kirby, a shifter whose Fennec Fox animal side is able to navigate the shifting sands and get Jude back to the abandoned human settlement where he hopes to find supplies to fix his ship.

Now a warlord in his own right, the prince still pines for the man who has been like a second father to him, only now he actively pursues the older man, who seems oblivious to Mestor’s advances. The Hunt for Red Fluffy by Angel Martinez
My rating:
When a stray hellcat - a creature only a demon can posses - appears on the station where the Brimstone has stopped, it’s obvious to just about everyone except Shax that it’s a trap, but he takes possession of the beast anyway. Thus begins a quite literal cat and mouse game as the demon prince and his crew try to outrun and outmaneuver the criminal gang out to capture them.

Review -Service to the State: a literary seduction by Starlight Barque
My rating:
Near the end of the 22nd century, Galen is the chief surgeon in an Alaskan hospital, one of the few livable places in a world ravaged by climate change. His best friend is Navojan. The two have been very close since Galen discovered Navojan was really an alien. He was sent to Earth essentially as a spy to learn about humans, but his people have long since forgotten about him and his mission.
