Once upon a time, three kingdoms were engaged in a bloody war over a small piece of land. Many princes and princesses died in the battles. When the rulers decided to make peace, part of the treaty called for marriages between the houses to promote stability. The only problem is that there are slightly more eligible princes than princesses. This means that either Obren or his brother will have to marry Prince Dukan.

Chef Gage is under pressure. Both the baker and pastry chefs have quit, and Valentine's Day is rapidly approaching. Gage decides to take a risk on two recent culinary school graduates. The new pastry chef, Valentin, is not only very talented, he's very beautiful as well. Valentin isn't the kind of guy Gage is normally attracted to, but he can't seem to resist the young man. “French Twist” is a barely novella-length story about finding love where you least expect it.

Ward grew up in foster care, moving from one home to another. The one constant in his life was Dean, who remained his friend through high school, where they shared a love of cars. Years later, the two stay best friends and work at the same garage, where Dean has become one of the stars of a reality show while Ward does the “real” work of fixing cars for all the clients the show brings in.

Review - Ash Belives the Impossible by Kim Fielding

Ash lives a rather mundane life. He has a very fulfilling job helping people who have been out of work due to personal crises find jobs. It doesn't pay very much, but it's enough to get by. Since the breakup with his last boyfriend, Ash has been renting an apartment from two aging hippies with a forest in their backyard. One day, gifts start appearing outside Ash's door. They're not fancy, but obviously handmade with love.
Review - Uncle Zach by Bey Deckard
My rating:
Owen's particular kink is being “used” – topped by anonymous men who orgasm inside him and then make way for another. He rented a cheap motel room, left the door unlocked, and posted on a hookup app inviting all comers. However, Owen is mortified when he realizes that one of the men using him is his uncle Zach. Zach is equally upset when he recognizes Owen and quickly leaves. Owen can't get the encounter out of his mind.
Review - Froggie Went A Sailing by Sam Burns
My rating:
Crown Prince Jasper enjoys his sexual encounters with the men of the court, but those dalliances will have to end once he is married. It would be unseemly for a king to be seen cheating on the queen, even if it never bothered his father. The marriage was arranged before Jasper's older brother died, making Jasper next in line for the throne. It was a suitable arrangement for the spare heir, but now that Jasper is crown prince, his father would like to break off the engagement.

Zane's truck has broken down on a deserted Arizona highway. He's been driving for days to get as far away as possible from the boyfriend who beat him up and sold off most of his things. He managed to fight back and get away with just his truck and a few clothes. Construction worker Butch spots the broken-down truck and pulls over to offer help. When he sees the battered young Zane, Butch offers to take Zane home and patch him up.

Lee Harker works hard for his law firm in 1950s Los Angeles. He doesn't have much of a life outside of work, but it's what you do if you're a young lawyer who wants to make junior partner one day. One night, as he's working late as usual, one of the senior partners walks into his office and gives Lee a new assignment. Lee is to pack a bag and leave the next day to advise a very special client at his home.

Nineteen-year-old Adam has been having trouble with nightmares. They're so frequent and so bad that the lack of sleep is affecting his work and studies. Adam can't remember many details of the dreams but has the impression he's experiencing memories of an eighteenth-century Italian music teacher named Paolo. What does it all mean? “Primavera” is an unusual novella. I really had no idea where it was going with the parallel stories of Adam and Paolo.

Nobody expects the young man to come back alive, but they don't know the secret of his true parentage.
