My rating:
Azai is sailing home with a peace treaty he has managed to secure between his home and a neighboring kingdom when the ship is attacked by a group of mer people, taking revenge for the death of one of their own at the hands of the sailors. Miraculously, Azai survives and wakes up on the shore of a seemingly deserted island. However, it’s not long before he realizes he’s not alone.

First, there’s meeting Malcolm’s parents, and then there’s the looming trial of Seth’s father along with the other church leaders who imprisoned him as well as many others. Will Malcolm be able to get Seth through the challenges that face them? By now, in this third and final installment of the Father series, the characters are well established.

Review - Their Boy by Cara Dee
My rating:
Lucas and Cole from Top Priority have been together for many happy years, but there’s always been a little something missing. As two “Daddy Doms” they’ve always wanted a younger submissive man to be “Their Boy”. The right man just hasn’t come along, until they come across Kit. The young man in his early twenties has been battling quite a few demons since a car accident took the lives of his parents, and left him scarred.
Review - Merfolk's Mate by Drake LaMarque
My rating:
Warning: If you haven’t read the first books of this series, there may be some spoilers in this review of the third. When last we saw our slutty cabin boy Gideon, he had just been “rescued” by the British navy, and at least two of his lovers were now in the brig on the navy ship. Whether or not the merfolk Ora or the cat Zeb managed to escape is unknown.
Review - Sword Dance by A.J. Demas
My rating:
Damiskos is a retired army officer working for the quartermaster corps, since his parents spent the family fortune and the army doesn’t pay much in the way of retirement. He’s been sent to a seaside villa to negotiate the purchase of fish sauce from the owner, who happens to be an old friend from the capital city. It’s supposed to be a bit of a vacation, but on arrival he finds the house filled with philosophy students, and a businessman from a neighboring island-state who also has a captivating eunuch slave, Varazda.

Faced with a long trek across a featureless desert, Jude has little choice but to accept the help of Kirby, a shifter whose Fennec Fox animal side is able to navigate the shifting sands and get Jude back to the abandoned human settlement where he hopes to find supplies to fix his ship.

Review - The Mystery of the Moving Image by C.S. Poe
My rating:
It’s a typical day at Sebastian’s antique shop when there’s a delivery that turns out to be a rare device from the earliest days of the film industry. At first, the only mystery is who sent the extremely valuable item, but this is Sebastian Snow, and nothing is every that simple. The questions pile up as fast as the dead bodies, which as usual doesn’t make Calvin’s life any easier.
