Review - The Boyfriend Subscription by Steven Salvatore
My rating:
Teddy has hit rock bottom. He moved to New York to be with the man he loved and became the city’s “Plant Daddy.” His vindictive now-ex-husband has taken all that away, including the plant shop he opened, leaving Teddy poor and with no choice to move back to New Orleans to live with his mom. He’s drowning his sorrows at a dive bar with his best friend Kit when a very handsome, clearly well-to-do man enters the bar and shows an obvious interest in Teddy.

It doesn’t take long for Ricky to realize he is in over his head.

He has many friends, including Dusty, the aged owner of the local funeral parlor, who does nothing to deny the rumors that he’s immortal. Keith-Aaron lives with Dusty’s great-grandson Marc in an apartment over the home’s garage.

My rating:
Bay works as a bartender at a gay bar that caters to a kinky crowd. One night, a young man sits at the bar and he’s the most beautiful man Bay has ever seen. Jai is new in town and flattered by Bay’s attention. The two men quickly develop a relationship. There’s just one problem: Bay knows he is a submissive and craves domination and discipline. Jai has never been exposed to the world of kink, and he’s not sure he can give Bay what he needs.

My rating:
Adam may have defeated an ancient evil spirit, barely, but he doesn’t have time to enjoy it, or explore the connection he has to Vic, the police officer whose life he saved. Adam’s Sight tells him his great aunt Sue is in danger. The woman was more of a mother to Adam than his own mother, so he rushes back to Guthrie to try to save her. What he finds there is much more than he bargained for.

My rating:
Matt/Sköll and the other three “alphas of all” are getting ready to make an epic run through all of Scandinavia, gather other Vargr, Völsung, Sleipnir, and whatever other long-forgotten sibling races they can before leading them to Brussels to demand their rights be recognized. But, along the way, they uncover more clues to unlock the past. Those clues come at a cost, and understanding their implications may challenge the beliefs of Vargr, Cubi, and the other races.
