Review - A Suitable Brat by R. Cooper
My rating:
Westin is an outguard but is getting too old for the life on the road, sometimes sleeping rough, especially in the cold. He has resolved to retire and return to his family’s estate. There’s just one problem: another outguard called Sun. Unlike most outguards like Westin, Sun’s brief is wide-ranging, so their paths often crossed. The much younger man has a sharp tongue and a way of getting Westin, or almost anyone, to do exactly what he wants, which includes sharing a bed.
Review - A Suitable Stray (For an Outguard and an Assistant) by R. Cooper
My rating:
Tiiran is technically just an assistant, but with no Keepers around, he does his best to keep the Great Library running under the latest king, who doesn’t seem to know the library exists. The other assistants look up to him, even though Tiiran has a short temper and a tendency to snarl at the nobles who come to the library. Tiiran’s sharp tongue and half-fae parentage keep even most of the brave outguards away, except for Orin.
Review - Forget Me Not by R. Cooper
My rating:
Police detective Ray wakes up in an alley feeling drained, which, for a werewolf, is very strange. His keen sense of smell senses magic, which explains how someone overpowered him. He’s just getting his bearings when some people appear at the mouth of the alley. One of them is human and also smells of magic, but the other is a fairy, or perhaps a half-fairy. He is very pretty, as fairies are, and claims to be Ray’s mate.
Review - Little God by R. Cooper
My rating:
Melis is the god of bees and honey, and desire. He’s among the youngest of the gods and a bit of an outcast. King Antero is one of the god’s most ardent followers. Antero is reputed to be very handsome, but has yet to find a suitable companion, someone who wants him for who he is rather than because he’s the king. He prays to Melis often for help in his quest.
Review - Sweet Clematis by R. Cooper
My rating:
Clematis is just what everyone imagines a fairy to be. He is very beautiful, and if you catch his attention, Clematis will let you seduce him and make you feel very good, for a while. The fairy will move on before you get to know him too well. That’s what he fears most. Clematis can’t ever seem to do the right thing. Most of his circle of friends are mad at him for one reason or another.

Review - His Mossy Boy by R. Cooper
My rating:
Sheriff deputy Ian Forrester has had a thing for Martin for a while. That’s why he visits the coffee shop where Martin is a barista almost every day. Ian can’t pursue Martin the way he’d like, because humans can’t know what Ian truly is. Still, he can’t keep himself from taking care of the young man whenever he is in trouble. Martin tries not to think too much about Ian.

Review - A Dandelion for Tulip by R. Cooper
My rating:
David is used to attracting the attention of faeries. They keep saying things about his “shine.” Faeries are known to be fickle beings, so their attention soon moves on to other things. David knows the stereotype isn’t entirely true, but he’s been disappointed enough to guard his feelings. Besides, the one fairy David truly desires doesn’t date humans. Tulip loved a human once, but things ended badly between them. Tulip is extremely attracted to David, but his fear makes him keep his distance and hope David can find someone else.

Review - Fox of Fox Hall by R. Cooper
My rating:
Fox was orphaned at a young age. Neighboring farmers took him in for a while, but his youth and small size meant he wasn’t much good for farm work, and sooner or later, Fox was just another mouth to feed. So, the youth found himself on his own, but he was clever, had a good ear for music, and an excellent memory for all the popular ballads of the day.

Review - Treasure for Treasure by R. Cooper
My rating:
Joe grew up in the small town of Everlasting on the northern California coast. A disastrous high school romance with a closeted jock made him leave town for college as soon as he finished high school. Longing for the sea, the redwoods, and something else he couldn’t identify made Joe return to Everlasting, where he works in the local coffee shop. Everlasting’s claim to fame is that it was protected by a fierce dragon.

Review - A Suitable Captive by R. Cooper
My rating:
Fen is one of many children of a powerful Earl. The rather delicately built young man isn’t made for fighting, but he is quite pretty, so his father sends Fen off to form an alliance with another Earl who is quite enamored with him. He understands the importance of alliances in a time when all Earls are under attack by a group led by a man called “The Wild Dog” by the Earls.
