Review - Mercs and Strippers by Meraki P. Lyhne

My rating:

Ethan and Ryder fight to save Ryder’s business, and their lives, in this last installment of the Ore 5 series. Ethan has found the link between the phony accounts and the mob trying to take over Black Ryder, but the lawyer the corporation puts on the case is none of than his father. Ethan will need to stand up for himself and prove he’s not the failure his parents might think in order to save the business.

Review - Ledgers and Rent Boys by Meraki P. Lyhne

My rating:

Ethan and Ryder start trying to figure out how to make a relationship work, given Ryder’s public persona as ‘Black Ryder’ and Ethan’s desire to stay out of the spotlight. But they can’t spend all their time alone in a romantic bubble. Ryder’s business is under threat from some unknown players, but he doesn’t know the hows or whys. Perhaps a rent boy the two meet in another club can provide some clues.

Review - Roughnecks and Butterflies by Meraki P. Lyhne

My rating:

Ethan is having the worst run of bad luck. On graduating in the top of his class in accounting, he takes a contract with the mining colony of Ore 5, but on his arrival after the two year journey in cryo-sleep he finds he’s been downsized out of the promised positon. To add insult to injury, the severance isn’t enough to cover the cost of a return journey to earth. Then they put him up in worker accommodation where one of the miners attempts to rape him in the showers.

Review - Natural Beauty by Meraki P. Lyhne

My rating:

While plans proceed for Daniel’s investiture as king of the North American cubi, the young man himself still isn’t completely sure he will be up to the task. The prospect would be daunting enough, without the added responsibility of being practically in a state of war with rogue elements of the human military. Meanwhile, freed “breeder” Alex is having trouble adjusting to life outside the cubi world. He felt used as a sex slave by the cubi, but now that he’s home with his homophobic parents and working a thankless job in a stock room, he begins to see his former life in a new light.

Review - Rising Beauty by Meraki P. Lyhne

My rating:

Note: This is the third book in the Cubi series. These stories follow closely on each other, so if you haven’t read the first two books, you won’t have any idea what’s going on. As this third installment of the Cubi series opens, Daniel is still trying to wrap his head around the latest revelation to turn his life upside down. Not only is he becoming an incubus, he is destined to become the king of the North American cubi.

Review - Claimed Beauty by Meraki P. Lyhne

My rating:

Kindly note: It’s impossible to review this second book in The Cubi series without revealing how the first volume, Untouchable Beauty ends. If you haven’t read the first book, and hate spoilers, I suggest you skip this review. This sequel to “Untouchable Beauty” picks up just moments after the first book ends, with Daniel accidentally dosed by his master Seldon and discovered to be a changeling, a human that has the genetic make-up to be converted to a incubus.

Review - Untouchable Beauty by Meraki P. Lyhne

My rating:

Daniel is a beautiful high school senior. His parents expect him to go to college and study business, but Daniel thinks he can have a successful career as a model or actor. He’s had some success as a model, but not much as an actor. With typical youthful enthusiasm, he doesn’t take his setbacks as any sign of a lack of talent, and believes that he can get by on his looks.
