Review - Fool Me Twice by JL Merrow
My rating:
Zig’s father never treated him well. Yet, the homophobic thief still insisted that his teenage son take part in his crimes. The one bright thing in Zig’s life is his boyfriend, apprentice bricklayer Si. When Si finds out about Zig’s criminal activity, and Zig defends it, the pair split up. Six years later, both men are older and wiser. Si returned to Glastonbury soon after leaving Zig. For his part, Zig found his moral compass and parted ways with his father.

Review - Junk by Josephine Myles
My rating:
Jasper needs help. He’s willing to admit that now. His compulsion to collect books, including ones he never plans to read, has turned his home into an unlivable space, with almost every room filled with stacks of books, some to the point of being inaccessible. Jasper calls in a team to help him figure out how to deal with his problem. Lewis and his sister have their own little business helping hoarders work out their issues and reclaim their living space.

He’s at his wits’ end after another encounter when Cass finds him. The co-owner of Urban Soul offers Lenny a place to stay with Nero, and he can hide out in the kitchen working with the chain’s master chef.

Review - Misfits by Garrett Leigh
My rating:
Tom is desperately looking for a location for a new restaurant in London’s Camden Town, but so far nothing the estate agent has shown him sparks his imagination. After looking at another shopfront that didn’t pan out, the underground is too busy to use right away, so he decides to grab a meal at a pub. The food is awful, but the waiter Jake is cute and definitely gets his attention.

Review - Run Wild, Run Free by Fiona Glass
My rating:
Joey just turned eighteen, although nobody in his family seems to have taken notice. They're all too busy trying to eke out a living in a 1950s Welsh mining town. His father and older brother work down in the mines, which is where Joey will probably end up. He would rather be an artist, but nobody believes he can make a living from it, and they can't afford to send him to school anyway.
