Rene is back home on Floor, continuing his training to become a full-fledged agent of the Circle. Part of that training includes improving his social skills and to help with that, Rene takes a job in a tea shop where he can interact with regular people. It’s a big challenge for the young man, whose unique psionic ability made being around people difficult until he learned to shield his senses.
Review - The Pirate’s Treasure by Lisa Oliver
My rating:
Pirate Captain Rojan has had his eye on Petrov for quite some time. He might be just a little bit obsessed with the duke who acts as bodyguard to the Crown Prince, now married to his half brother, the king. When the two are thrown together after Rojan is attacked, Petrov finds the pirate “infuriating,” but can’t seem to stay away from the man. Together, the pair try to track down the people trying to undermine the new king, which may be easier than surviving their hastily arranged nuptials.
Review - The Dragon's Devotion by Antonia Aquilante
My rating:
Corentin has a secret. Keeping it means keeping his people safe from an outside world that once hunted them down. That’s why he came to Tournai, to find out what Lord Etan and the royal family really knew about dragons, which most people thought were legends, like the giant cats protecting Tournai. Bastien is related to the royal family, but has spent most of his time running the family’s estates away from the capital since his parents died in a boating accident, along with the Crown Prince and Princess.

Review - DragonSeer by S. Rodman
My rating:
Kirby, Cai and Harlan have moved into a cottage well removed from the Riders’ keep after an attempt on Kirby’s life. Cai lost his magical powers and the bond to his dragon saving Kirby. It’s a lot for the two men to deal with, and Harlan feels it’s his job to help his two lovers cope with the situation. There’s also the fact that Kirby’s dragon is about to lay eggs, the first clutch born in several generations of riders.
Review - A Knight's Exile by Xander Tracy
My rating:
Andrion has vowed to kill the man who usurped the throne by murdering the crown prince, Andrion’s lover. The plot fails, but rather than have him executed, the false king has the knight exiled to the frozen tundra, thousands of miles from the capital, where Andrion will likely die anyway. Tauras is a shapeshifter. He lives a lonely existence far away from other people, until he happens on Andrion just after the knight is ported to the wasteland.

My rating:
Raef has lived on the streets for ten years, ever since the Knights of Hyperion destroyed the tower dedicated to the moon goddess Phoebe, where he grew up. He still has no idea why the priests ensured that he escaped while the knights murdered all of the others in the tower. Seth started training as a Knight of Hyperion after the destruction of Phoebe’s towers. Seth wields the fire of the sun god, but he doesn’t have control over it.

Daniel’s parents are killed in a car crash. He had been estranged from them for 15 years over their refusal to accept his homosexuality, but they had started to reconnect in the months leading up to their deaths. When Daniel finally faces the task of cleaning out the family home so it can be sold, he finds that his parents had become collectors, bordering on hoarders. Fortunately, their neighbor Landon is there to help.

Review - The Sorcerer's Guardian by Antonia Aquilante
My rating:
Savarin is Tournai’s most powerful sorcerer, and he knows it. He has always been fascinated by the spells protecting the kingdom, but on a recent trip to the border, he’s discovered weak spots in the magical barrier. Savarin reports his concerns to the Prince and proposes a visit to another section of the border to check for additional weak spots as well as try to understand how the spells were constructed in the first place so he can fix them.

Rolf has been treated poorly by his father as well as the other drakes in his clan, who hold on to the belief that dettes are little more than chattel. Due to concerns about his welfare, Rolf has been put under Leo's care. That hasn’t stopped his father from sending drakes around to court him. Rolf can barely stand to talk to any of them. The only man he is truly attracted to is Weston.

Storm is a crocodile shifter and a member of the team of assassins that take on rogue paranormals who threaten innocents. The team is run by Cyrus, who sends Storm on a mission to rescue a young man kidnapped by a bear shifter, who has done it before. Storm arrives just in the nick of time to save Pax. Pax is a pixie, and Storm instantly recognizes him as his fated mate.
