Review - A Suitable Stray (For an Outguard and an Assistant) by R. Cooper
My rating:
Tiiran is technically just an assistant, but with no Keepers around, he does his best to keep the Great Library running under the latest king, who doesn’t seem to know the library exists. The other assistants look up to him, even though Tiiran has a short temper and a tendency to snarl at the nobles who come to the library. Tiiran’s sharp tongue and half-fae parentage keep even most of the brave outguards away, except for Orin.
Review - A Suitable Captive by R. Cooper
My rating:
Fen is one of many children of a powerful Earl. The rather delicately built young man isn’t made for fighting, but he is quite pretty, so his father sends Fen off to form an alliance with another Earl who is quite enamored with him. He understands the importance of alliances in a time when all Earls are under attack by a group led by a man called “The Wild Dog” by the Earls.

Review - A Suitable Bodyguard by R. Cooper
My rating:
Zelli has always been a bit different. His family, which rules the valley where Zelli lives, has always mixed with the fae, and Zelli shows it more than most. His “condition” has made for a lonely life, and Zelli doesn't think he will be able to attract a suitor with his odd looks. Especially not the one he wants. Zelli has had a crush on one of the guards, Tahlen, since the day he arrived.

Review - A Suitable Consort (For the King and His Husband) by R. Cooper
My rating:
Arden has been on the throne for five years. Together with his husband Mil, who serves as captain of the palace guard, the pair have bought peace to the kingdom after years of turmoil. The pair's heroic love story is the subject of many a song in the city's taverns. But Mil's perceived “common” origins causes some nobles to suggest that the king might need a more suitable consort. One with at least some noble blood.
