Review - The Phantom by AJ Rose
My rating:
Tracey is recovering from his gunshot wound at Jon’s house. It’s convenient, since there are fewer stairs to negotiate and Jon can take him to and from work, since the injury prevents Tracey from driving. It’s also given the two time to get to know each other, but for Tracey it’s starting to feel like too much, too soon. Personal conflicts end up taking a back seat when a new murder in the DC area finally confirms the team’s suspicion that a serial killer is targeting gay men in several cities.
Review - Drifter by Eden Winters
My rating:
Killian is riding high as the lead singer of the band Trickster, but things aren’t going so well behind the scenes. Killian’s brother Eliot, the band’s bass guitarist, is involved in an abusive relationship with Rob, the drummer. Rob’s drug addiction sends him off the rails and results in the crash of their tour bus, killing everyone in the band and the driver. Except Killian. The young man is left with serious emotional and physical scars.

Review - The Jeweled Egg by L.M. Somerton
My rating:
Antiques dealer Landry and his boyfriend police detective Gage are settled into domestic bliss, with a kinky sex life to keep things interesting. When Gage is sent to England for a police exchange, and can take Landry with him, it seems like an opportunity that’s too good to be true. Just before they leave, Landry receives a package from James Ellery. It’s clear that the bad-boy treasure hunter is sucking the pair into another dangerous mystery, but will Landry’s luck hold out this time?
Review - My Little Human by M.A. Innes
My rating:
Dane is a “little” in search of a dominant daddy to take care of him. He hasn’t been having much luck. At a munch for others with a similar kink, it’s all straight people. But then Dane is approached by Wright, one of the tentacled aliens that have come to earth. Wright is interested in the Daddy/little dynamic and has studied everything he can find about the human kink. The two make an excellent match, and yet the reality is a bit harder to make work.

Review - The Librarian's Ghost by Sean Michael
My rating:
Will and his team of supernatural investigators are having a hard time finding a case of a true haunting after their harrowing experiences at an abandoned hospital. So far, all they’ve found are duds. Places that may be creepy, but don’t have any ghosts. When Payne approaches the team to help with the spirits haunting the old family mansion he inherited, it looks like the Supers have found what they’re looking for.

Review - No Fear by Nora Phoenix
My rating:
Aaron had his life turned upside down when he came out. He lost his job and his parents disowned him. Then he got beat up in a bar by approaching the wrong person. Blake has given Aaron a room in his house, along with other victims of abuse, while the young man figures things out. Blake’s initial perception of Aaron is that he’s an entitled jerk, but he soon sees that the attitude is just a cover for someone who’s never had a chance to be himself.

Review - Human Omega: Babied by His Guardian Mates by Eileen Glass
My rating:
Spoiler alert: This review of the third Pykh book may contain spoilers for the first two volumes. Carter may have finally solved his communication problem, but that leads to a whole new set of challenges, like explaining to his two mates that he can’t get pregnant and doesn’t need to be treated like a delicate princess. As if that wasn’t enough, the camp commander returns with a group of elite soldiers who will escort Carter to meet their leader.
Review - Sunrise in a Storm by Crystal D. Budy
My rating:
Spoiler alert: This review of the second Polaris Mysteries book may contain spoilers for the first story. Nick and Carter are trying to figure out what they want to be to each other. They’re definitely attracted to each other, but their lives are experiencing a lot of turmoil right now, so it doesn’t seem like the best time to start something, especially with Max’s soon-to-be ex-husband in the background. When one of the young men the pair encountered previously comes asking for help to find his boyfriend, the pair reluctantly agrees to help, which puts them back on the trail of Carter’s brother, who disappeared months ago.

My rating:
While touring Egypt as a young boy with his archaeologist father, Albion sees his first spirit. It’s not the last ghost the boy will encounter, but the memory of that first one sticks with him. More than a decade later, Albion has graduated from Cambridge and is determined to return to Egypt in search of answers.
