Nikolas is aware of Caspian’s feckless womanizing reputation, but the benefits to his country from the marriage contract makes it a good deal, and he has ensured the agreement has all the standard clauses to get him out of the marriage if Caspian doesn’t live up to the terms, which Nikolas figures will take six months at most.
