Boston police officer Jason is badly injured when the undercover operation he was involved in almost went sideways. Now, both of the crime families he helped take down are out for his blood before he can testify. Staying in the hospital, where he should be, makes him a sitting duck, so the FBI moves him into a safe house under the watchful eye of Special Agent Phil Harland. He should be safe, except it looks like there’s a mole in the police or the FBI, or both, and it turns out Phil is Jason’s old high school rival.

Miles lives a relatively quiet life on the east coast of England. Most of his excitement comes from dealing with his two younger siblings. That all changes when Miles receives a message from his grandfather, who he hasn’t seen since he was 15. The request contained in the message, and the revelations that follow, plunge Miles into a world he didn’t know existed. Although reunited with his first love, will Miles risk his life to stay with his boyhood friend?

Review - Dark Waters

Flein has an itch to travel, and he’s seen more of the world than just about any man alive. Then again, Flein is only half human. He is the offspring of one of the Norse gods who mated with a human, and staying on the move helps keep people from realizing that he doesn’t age and is in fact a thousand years old or more. His wanderings take him to a small village in the Scottish Highlands, where a series of rapes and murders have been blamed on a mysterious creature that inhabits the loch.

Ash is an alien from another world, but he manages to pass as a rather quirky yet handsome human. He has come to a rural area of Vermont in search of his sister, who crash-landed there with valuable information that can help his planet achieve justice. Ash isn’t the only one with his quirks in town. There’s also Angi, a run-away rich girl who escaped her stifling home in Florida only to fall in with the leader of a gang.
